When word got out that Kaiser was arrested, I was pretty disappointed, thinking that one of the better story lines of the year was going to die quickly.

Kind of reminded me how Magnum TA was getting pushed to the moon for the NWA heavy weight title and a car crash ended his career. Wrestling is full of stuff like that.

Apparently now it has come out that the woman he was with in the elevator was Andrea Bazarte (pretty announcer lady in AAA). The original police report described her has a white woman, which is standard in Florida and it had fans in Mexico in an uproar that El Grande Americano would cheat on his woman. Mexico fans were incensed.

New reports have come out that when the dude that Kaiser fucked up was leaving the elevator, he used a slur and threatened to call ICE on them.

So now we got a situation where right before the massive mask vs mask match, the baby face fucked up a racist asshole, protecting his woman, a fan favorite.

You can't buy that sort of press. This upcoming match is going to be fucking huge. Kaiser's arrival for the previous event was delayed for a day. A professional mariachi band just showed up to sing songs for the fans waiting. None of this was arranged by AAA.

The Mexico fans are going nuts for him. If they take the mask of him, I will be shocked.

I've seen comments on videos from people claiming that Asuka is working on some puroresu cafe or some shit and that is why she's taking time off. I don't speak dog-eating gook so I can't confirm if any of that is true with actual gook sources.

My favorite part of SNME last night was them continually pointing out the "size difference" or whatever between Brie and Paige VS the Irresistible Forces.

I went to an MLB game for the first time recently and I was also surprised by how "Wrestling-ified(?)" it all was. I'm not sure if it was always like that or it's a recent thing, but it was a lot of fun. The crowd was surprisingly loud as fuck too compared to what you hear on TV. I think a big factor for me is that WWE especially feels way smaller scale than they used to be. The sets are nerfed to house show sets for even their PPVs. There's no more pyro to start the shows. Instead you get Cole talking about what CM Punk xeeted while he walks down a hall with his luggage for the intro now. It's so un-hype and flaccid. Ironic they're trying to be seen as a super serious broadcast like UFC while MLB is playing more into theatrics.

It feels like they have really been leaning into theatrics and stuff more the last few years and I think it has helped the sport a lot. Right now a big one also is the ABS challenges(automatic balls and strikes) it adds a lot to the game and the fans really get into it. I miss the giant sets at WWE PPVs, as a kid me and my brothers would watch the Sunday Night Heat before a PPV and see the cool Wrestlemania, Judgement Day, Backlash, Summerslam sets or any other PPV for that matter and would beg our parents to let us order....more times than not it worked as my dad was a wrestling fan lol. The cool music montages and promos hyping up the main events, everyone knows and remembers the epic My Way promo leading up to Wrestelmania 17.
