I'm actually enjoying NWA. It's hokey, but it's fun.I’m supporting local indies now because I’m burnt out on WWE creative and prices of live events.
Not counting out WWE entirely, but the product is stale atm.
Wrestling is popular?Fify.

What's the over/under for number of matches before he's back on the shelf? I'll say he makes it until Double or Nothing then takes off until late July to build to his Wembley match. Will Osprey's back, by the way.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=W8fbgx0w3oYI also for a minute feared he necked himself again at around 1:40.
Her "I dunno if I'm angry or have gas" face doesn't help.Rousey is a weird one in that she always looks like she's trying and failing to act tough, even though she actually is.
Funny how she's struggling to look tough in spite of having a somewhat succesful career in MMA, while Punk's over with the fans as a tough guy fighting champ who hasn't thrown a single successful punch or kick in the octagon.Rousey is a weird one in that she always looks like she's trying and failing to act tough, even though she actually is.
Imo she's got serious self confidence issues, what they stem from though I have no ideaRousey is a weird one in that she always looks like she's trying and failing to act tough, even though she actually is.
Her mother apparently was absolutely insane about her training when she was young.Imo she's got serious self confidence issues, what they stem from though I have no idea
It's because she had a winning streak in mma and became a star and then lost. She lost one more fight which was supposed to be her big comeback and then was never the same.Imo she's got serious self confidence issues, what they stem from though I have no idea
Is she though? Ronda Rousey was a glass cannon. She came out extremely aggressive and it scared the fuck out of her opponents.Rousey is a weird one in that she always looks like she's trying and failing to act tough, even though she actually is.
Punk is a fitting name for him, all the way back in 2002 when he got dog walked in front of a diner by Teddy Hart. That's not just Teddy saying it, it was confirmed by Sabu.Funny how she's struggling to look tough in spite of having a somewhat succesful career in MMA, while Punk's over with the fans as a tough guy fighting champ who hasn't thrown a single successful punch or kick in the octagon.
Oh and you can't forget Rampage/Tito Ortiz stinking up the joint in TNA.
Outside of being paid and getting clicks, I don't understand the many podcasters that play armchair booker after a weekly show or PPV. They always focus more on the negatives than the positives, even if it's a match or segment they said they enjoyed.Fify.

Yeah, I think I remember hearing that the Khan empire was worth 4 to 5 times what WWE was when AEW started. That was before the TKO deal so I don't know what the situation is now.
It's a similar situation with NJPW/Stardom. The parent company is much bigger than WWE as a standalone entity. At the end of the day it all depends on the higher ups not deciding to cut costs as to wether any of these promotions can keep outbidding WWE for talent.
A recent example is David Finlay. WWE offered him the basic NXT starter contract which is rumored to be around 70k a year but TK backed up the Brinks truck and blew their offer out of the water because he wanted to have Bullet Club guys in AEW.
Khan is getting up there in age and he's said on record that he's fine with his kids blowing his fortune now on creating stuff they like even if they fail. The money really isn't a huge issue.Doesn't Tony's Dad have an infinite* money cheat with the car patent thing he build most of his fortune around? Don't you think the old fuck will cut him off if it ever seems like he's wasting money they don't have yet?

It's because she had a winning streak in mma and became a star and then lost. She lost one more fight which was supposed to be her big comeback and then was never the same.
She wasn't really a great fighter. She was just better than the rest of the women in UFC at the time. Because of her, women's fighting became a lot more popular. And as a result, the competition got tougher and she wasn't able to keep up.
Didn't her trainer turn out to be some mega weirdo too?Not just lost, she got absolutely embarrassed after being super arrogant in the leadup to it and not even tapping gloves at the start of the match. It completely killed her MMA career.

agreed a lot of these guys i’m talking about honestly seem like they started watching in the past 5 or so years, i’ll admit i mostly consume the weekly tv via clips but it doesn’t seem like the worst thing ever even if a segment is not 10/10, people just choose misery i guessFixed it.
If your hobby isn't making you happy anymore then it's time to consider another one instead. A simple advice yet people would rather delve on complaining all the time without doing anything to address the problem.
I just think it's funny that these armchair bookers on youtube are able to make grown men who fake fight with each other for six figures and get to travel the world doing so have complete meltdowns like teenage girls.Outside of being paid and getting clicks, I don't understand the many podcasters that play armchair booker after a weekly show or PPV. Don't worry she didn't tap gloves at the beginning of the match but Holly made sure to tap gloves several dozen times during the actual fight. Not just lost, she got absolutely embarrassed after being super arrogant in the leadup to it and not even tapping gloves at the start of the match. It completely killed her MMA career.

Can't that be said of any internet discussion medium? Look at this thread for example. They always focus more on the negatives than the positives, even if it's a match or segment they said they enjoyed.
