Idk guys I was thoroughly sports entertained. Some of you guys bitch just to bitch if I’m being honest.
I think theres valid complaints, but yeah people just have a short memory span, its like those kids who larp as Wiggers on Twitter yet claim to know everything about wrestling
LA Knight or Breakker could’ve won the rumble.
honestly I wanted Breakker, the worst thing for me was the early elimination I am honestly fine with Roman winning depending on who he challenges (one of the titles technically still could change hands before Mania), like if its Seth I understand, but were at a point where Seth hates Punk,Roman,The Vision, so if hes cleared my main issue is that everything is so drawn out and Mania I feel is a bit too unpredictable going into February, which id normally like, but it takes getting used to I guess
And all the blacks could’ve been white dudes and half you goobers would still whine.
im probably the most racist person here and even I think it gets absurd, id rather Trick Williams then Kidd Bandit for fucks sake, I think Oba and Trick had good showings here, and they can go in the ring, and Tricks generic black character is at least more fleshed out, like the Street Profits are similar but they don't feel as unique despite also playing it well.

The reveal trailer for WWE 2K26 is out, but it still doesn't look reassuring due to the $150 price tag for the most expensive version and the Battle Pass and MyFaction/The Island pay-2-win shit:

I do wonder if Booker T and Wade Barrett have special commentary lines if the match is against Booker T and Wade Barrett as wrestlers. But knowing 2K, I don't think they'll add any special commentary for that situation.

Roman vs Punk is too easy. He wants the WWE title back. Drew will get his win back on Roman.
You forget, this is WWE. They love the most obvious, color-by-numbers angles. It's why people look forward to Royal Rumble. It's the one time that you can't as easily predict the match.

I do agree with you though in that I was entertained. It's pretty rare I walk away from a Rumble thinking it's a waste of time.

Have people made comparisons of this Royal Rumble to things like Jinder Mahal winning the WWE Championship, and the Seth Rollins vs. The Fiend Hell in a Cell match?

Also, how much more insufferable would Jeet wrestling fans be, had they booked Jinder properly and they actually loved him?
In no particular order:
Jinder Mahal winning the WWE championship by defeating RANDY ORTON.
Ryder winning the IC title and losing it to Miz the next night. (That was 2016 but I count it cuz Matt is my guy.)
Goldberg running through everyone, completely killing off any of the good will that was built for him.
The horrible Dean Ambrose Heel turn with that awful germaphobe gimmick.
Kofimania being quelled so quickly.
Brock winning MITB in the first place.
Brock vs Roman in some shape or form SEVEN TIMES post 2016. (Yes I know SummerSlam 2022 was under Trips but let's not pretend like he didn't keep most of that card held over from Vince.)
Roman having dog food dumped on his head by Baron Corbin.
The Bobby Lashley/Lana/Rusev cuckold storyline.
Otis winning MITB then losing it to Miz.
A DQ in a HIAC match between Rollins and The Fiend.
The Fiend being squashed by Goldberg.
Karrion Kross being brought up to the main roster in that goofy helmet with no Scarlett and jobbing out to Jeff Hardy.
Retribution.
Elias and Ezekiel.
Goldberg vs Taker.
Brothers of Destruction vs DX.
The Greatest Royal Rumble as a whole.
Kurt Angle's retirement match.
The Thunderdome as a whole.

I'm sure I could come up with a lot more than that but that's literally off the top of my head and that's 20 things that are worse than anything in the HHH era right there.

I think theres valid complaints, but yeah people just have a short memory span, its like those kids who larp as Wiggers on Twitter yet claim to know everything about wrestling
Caddo you're one of the only level headed people on this website, may I ask what legit criticisms were there besides just having this in the stupid UAE?
honestly I wanted Breakker, the worst thing for me was the early elimination
I liked it personally, I think it made things unpredictable.
Roman winning doesn't bother me. The Saudis like him and I feel like having it be him trying to take his WWE title back from Drew and losing or having the grudge match with Seth for the WHC and still losing would be great.
im probably the most racist person here and even I think it gets absurd, id rather Trick Williams then Kidd Bandit for fucks sake, I think Oba and Trick had good showings here, and they can go in the ring, and Tricks generic black character is at least more fleshed out, like the Street Profits are similar but they don't feel as unique despite also playing it well.
For those they like to compare, I don't really see the comparisons. I'm biased tho as there are chocolate females on this planet that I do like, Jade Cargill being one of them. I recognize that the black culture that was created for the blacks in the 1960's and onward is awful but there's not much I can do about it personally.
I don't understand how the majority of these blacks can be compared.

Oba, Trick and Jevon are NOTHING alike.

Oba is what Vince wanted Omos to be.
Jevon is a skinny little scrappy underdog and that "BOUNCY!" gimmick thing is fairly decent.
Trick Williams is like if James Brown was a wrestler. I find him to be extremely dynamic and you can tell he puts his all into it. I'm a viewer of silent film and I find the parallels between the facial expressions done in wrestling and silent film to be quite similar in the fact that you have to overtly express yourself in order to get thoughts and intentions across to an audience.
Trick is great at that.

I do wonder if Booker T and Wade Barrett have special commentary lines if the match is against Booker T and Wade Barrett as wrestlers. But knowing 2K, I don't think they'll add any special commentary for that situation.
Nah they do special commentary on in the newer games like if you play Hollywood Hogan vs Red and Yellow Hogan and Cody Rhodes vs Stardust and Roman vs Jey.
They specifically did one in 2k22 where if you pick 2009 Dolph Ziggler, there's a funny exchange between Cole and Graves that completely breaks the 4th wall.
Also "Super Cena" with the invisible character that only wears the jorts and shoes has special commentary.
There's special commentary if you pick a regular ref for the special guest ref matches.
There's special commentary if you leave the game sitting there with the wrestlers doing nothing.

I mean, at least Sandman’s more schtick than match - at least 5 minutes will be “Enter Sandman” as he walks through the crowd, and all he really needs to do is swing the cane a few times, that’s about the most anyone expects from Sandman even in his prime. Honestly especially in his prime considering the amount of beer consumed and self inflicted head trauma…

That said if there’s anyone I would expect to see die in a ring not named Ric Flair, Sandman would be up there on the list. Thankfully I don’t think he’s really kept up on doing stupid as fuck spots, and he’s seemed smart enough to know he’s there on vibes or as a nostalgia pop.

actually yeah other than the Breakker elimination and the Saudi Arabia (not even for any moralistic reason it feels to early in the day for a ppv) I felt it was mostly fine, the Gunther/AJ match was a bit slow but picked up near the end, now that i have time to evaluate it i’d say it was a 7/10 which most WWE PPVs these days do not go lower than that imo i’d say this Rumble left me with more questions then answers but that was also last years to a lesser extent
Roman winning doesn't bother me. The Saudis like him and I feel like having it be him trying to take his WWE title back from Drew and losing or having the grudge match with Seth
Roman winning really didn’t bother me either, I think if Seth is back it would make sense for him to take the title off Punk at the elimination chamber that’s probably the best option as they have been building up Seth and Roman finishing things off for a couple years now anyway, Drew is fine to as Drew hates Roman and everyone else in the Samoan dynasty, and also Breakker is going to be pissed at Seth if it is him, so he and the vision may do some fuckery to get him involved too

Do y’all forget how bad 2017-2022 was?
I didn't forget I just wasn't watching WWE then because it was garbage.
Triple H is a shit booker,

Ratings would be better if he held the title for another 4 years.
You don't have to blow Roman Reigns, fella. That's his wife Galina's job.

Also, Royce Keyes sounds like the name of a nigger drill rapper who dies of an unintentional lean and xanax overdose. They should have just let him be powerhouse Hobbs.

Perhaps they couldn’t call him Powerhouse but Will Hobbs would’ve been a perfectly fine name. It’s his name.

It all comes down to control and trademarks. WWE luterally has people sit around and think up of lists of stupid names that they can trademark and has their new people pick their slave name. It's how we got Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose.
