She was about the best of a bad lot in the Divas era which was also a terrible era for WWE in general. She's objectively fairly shit and there's probably multiple girls in NXT at the moment who aren't even on TV yet that are better now than she ever was.

I've been enjoying laughing at all the clips/photos Reddit keeps posting of Punk simping for her by acting like her gay best friend. This is what these retards consider "being a good husband" when it's probably just the tax he has to pay for fucking every dipshit 22 year old he snags backstage.
 
I didn't dislike AJ, but she's a relic of a dark age in the women's roster. WWE spent years playing catchup with companies overseas (as well as TNA) in regards to the ring work of their women's roster and while it can still be debated as to whether or not they've caught up, there's no question that they've moved well past the Diva Era.

Paige was... okay. Truth be told, I thought Emma had more potential, but I suppose stealing from Walmart was her true passion.

Not to mention she was only the "best" because Layla, Beth Phoenix and Eve Torres all decided to retire in the months leading up her reign and Kaitlyn retired right after she dropped the belt to AJ.
 
That's for last night's RAW? I didn't watch the men's matches but I thought the women's matches were good and made sense storywise. Bayley's doing a split personality gimmick, Asuka and an extremely reluctant Kairi turned heel on Rhea and Iyo after weeks of Asuka getting more and more annoyed at them both.

Edit: Oh, it's fake. Well alrighty then.

I think she was supposed to catch Rollins in a bulldog, he spins around, and then Punk was going to catch her and flip her. She fucked up the bulldog, so Rollins should have tossed her off so it didn't look fake as shit. However, AJ Lee is only trained to go from spot to spot and has to heavily rehearse her matches, so instead they doubled down and Rollins just held her there and moved her into position.

They did a face in peril type tag match where Rollins and Lynch kept cheating to keep Punk from tagging in AJ. The audience was HYPED for the hot tag to AJ and the place just deflated when she actually started to wrestle. I don't know if I ever saw an audience go from white hot to ice cold so quickly before. It really was something special, but not in the way they intended.

This is basically it. She was always horrible in the ring but she was the least shit in a sea of shit. What carried her was her character which seems to have been her being herself if all the rumors and reports are true.

Gail Kim is one of the most overrated wrestlers ever because she could slightly work at a time all American fans saw was magazine models picked by Johnny Ace. The Kong matches weren’t even that good it was just shocking that they didn’t suck. That’s what the standard of American women’s wrestling was at the time. HOLY SHIT did two women on American TV. Just have a match that actually looked like wrestling??? That’s why it got such a big reaction. If those matches happened today, TNA fans would scream from the rooftops that they were the greatest match of all time while everyone else makes one of them for overrating TNA for the 3 millionth time. Furthermore her tits ain’t even that great.

People are going to champion Gail because she goes against a common enemy, Riho, not realizing if things lined up just slightly differently Jim would have had a podcast discussing how he skipped Gail matches while Brian would say stuff like no you gotta watch the next one. The Gail and Kong stuff is really good. A lot of what Jim likes or excuses is literally just circumstantial due to who was in what company when he got there and who was nice to him.

Gail also doesn’t realize she’s being racist against herself or at least empowering it because people don’t care if you’re one of the good ones the people that look at Japanese women wrestlers or Korean women wrestlers or Chinese women wrestlers would just as quickly call Gail a bug or schoolgirl with no care for how she actually looks or anything. She’s fucking retarded.
