I always thought of Becky as extremely overrated, can’t say im thrilled with her getting involved with The Vision, otherwise it was a decent show

Rick Knox is the worst ref in all of wrestling. I'd trust some random guy in his backyard more than this bald retard. One of the reasons why I refuse to watch Bucks matches.

Becky wrestles like a Divas-era talent and her promos are all done in a horrendous stage-"Oirish" accent that Yanks lap up for some reason.

Just finished watching Clash in Paris. My brief thoughts:

- Roman vs Sneed: I liked what they did, but the match went too long. Roman winning then Bronson getting back his heat with the attack after the match made sense with Roman being gone again for a while.

- Wyatts vs Street Profits: This could have been on an episode of SmackDown. Sick of the Wyatt shit already, they've brought down the tag team division.

- Becky vs Nikki: This sucked. Nikki was never good and Becky is only as good as her opponent. Laughably bad moments.

- Rusev vs Sheamus: This was great, by far the best match of the show. Two big guys beating the shit out of each other for 20 minutes, loved it.

- Cena vs Logan: Weird as fuck match. All they did was trade moves for 25 minutes. No idea why they went that long. Cena hitting a bunch of random finishers was entertaining enough, I guess.

- Rollins vs Punk vs Knight vs Yeet Man: Very formulaic fatal four way. Some solid action, but nothing amazing. Result was never in doubt. Becky costing Punk only makes sense if AJ Lee is actually returning.

Nothing of serious consequence happened, which looking at the card that wasn't a surprise. WWE wanted to get his over with so they could build to Wrestlepalooza, the show they actually care about.

I imagine theyll end the Rollins vs Punk feud by the end of the year (HIAC maybe ??) so Roman can get his turn at Rollins whenever he returns honestly the first time ive been more curious about the WHC then the WWE Undisputed title, Cody really just has Drew when comes back from filming and thats all but confirmed for Wrestlepalooza and maybe Orton turning afterwards ? a lot of intresting shit may end up being moved to the weekly TV because after Wrestlepalooza is Crown Jewel which will likely be Rollins vs Cody for the yearly mark belt and then Survivor Series which is War Games, and theyll dedicate December to Cena's retirement.
 
Hangman is such a gigantic fag. AEW in general tbh. Just look at Nikki VS Bella for why people don't take the women's matches seriously. They're in deep denial that most of the interest is because men like watching hot women even when they're shit at what they do.

The private Catholic schools I played rugby against were full of them and they all prayed before and after the matches and wore rosaries. Edit Deonna is also best friends with Chelsea Green. They both came up together they both were in NXT and TNA. Deonna went to AEW and Chelsea went to WWE. Deonna has gained 50 pounds and does nothing. Chelsea is arguably the most popular female wrestler next to Iyo and Chelsea is a heel.

It really depends on what you consider a boom. In terms of popularity, there are less people following than there were in the Attitude era, but they are making more per fan. I also think it's incorrect to say they sell more tickets now than they did at the peak of the Attitude era. Big shows like WM and Summer Slam certainly have higher attendance now than the attitude era, but that's because they weren't regularly booking them in big football stadiums until the early 2000s. They were selling a lot more tickets to Raw and Smackdown during the attitude era. Average event attendance was 12,300 in 1999 compared with 10,700 in 2024, and that's with the big stadium shows skewering the average for 2024 upwards.

So if boom = mainstream populatity, the Golden Era is still the high watermark. If boom = ticket sales, the Attitude Era is the high watermark. If boom = profit, the current era is.

For me, I wouldn't consider it a boom because I consider a "boom" to be mainstream popularity. Nothing they have today can touch the mainstream appeal they had in the late 80s or late 90s. WWE is certainly doing well, though.

AEW wants to brand itself as this progressive frontier of women's wrestling; There's this pretence that women's wrestling thrives in the promotion. However, outside of Toni Storm and Mercedes Mone (no idea why) the women have to work twice as hard for half the pop in AEW. Why? Beacuse no one gives a fuck. The fans at home don't care, the fans in attendance don't care and Tiny doesn't care. Tony is a lazy retard who thinks that booking people in an endless sequence of multi (wo)man matches will get them over. Therefore, there's a gigantic gaping chasm between Storm & Mone and then the rest of the division. They don't get storylines. They don't get meaningful promo time. They don't even have a women's tag division for Christ sake! But people will pretend to care, to get ass pats on blue sky (lol).

That Adam Page quote is just an example of the meaningless virtue signalling that is the very foundation of AEWs identity. It's a shame that the biggest alternative to WWE is so fucking gay.
