I've been spoiled by the few times WWE refs actually stop a match and at least check that the wrestlers aren't fucking dead. I know shit is supposed to be a work, but shit like seeing that Dark Order jobber punch drunk, or a rabid nigger attempting murder makes me appreciate WWE a bit more.

The thing with the gimmick of being the “belt collector” is that it is a gimmick that only works once and for it to work it has to be used only with a wrestler who is at least one of the biggest names of a promotion and who at least has some modicum of charisma in this one for it to work properly. AEW is already doing two of this version of the gimmick, and three in the industry if you count Matt Cardona for the last five years, and the more wrestlers that use it, the more contrived and the more fake it will look. It literally only worked with Ultimo Dragon and Dan Severn, not with wrestlers who are literally half his size. And certainly Mercedes Moné is the most lame and weakest version of all.
