Were you ever there, though? It was literally just a big empty room with bleachers on one side and nothing but the commentators and some gear on the hard camera side. They made it look good for TV, but it was very ghetto in person.

I was at the Impact Zone a couple of times. It wasn't without its charm. I had found a place to park free less than a mile from Uni so I could start going for free because seriously fuck paying twenty bucks parking to see Impact, but then basically immediately afterwards they left the Impact Zone :heart-empty:

but I did get to see mah boi Penta win the Impact World championship, got beer on me from Tommy Dreamer hitting OVE with some guy's drink, and yelled obnoxious shit when Robert Roode Inc tried to get Eric Young to sign with them

The one I've read in this thread a few pages/weeks ago: "TV ratings don't matter you mark bc nobody watches TV anymore anyways!!!"


Wouldn't the AEWdefenders be this obnoxious people would clown 50% less on AEW.

Like everytime mentioning how NXT has a gorillion "Swerve-clones" while in AEW you have Jungle Boy, the Flight brothers, Action Andretti, Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia, the Bucks and whatever many more skinny guys who can do flips. Something about glass houses and stones.

over on some other forum there's a discussion about wrasslin influence in a mostly-non-wrestling thing and there's like four people actually talking about the subject and these two spastic fags going about about gayEW and shoving batista figs up your ass and other stupid shit to insult each other over which fake sweaty mangrapple they like

I want to say I was there for two tapings in early 2012ish on a trip to Florida? It wasn't without its charm. I got a real kick out of the fact that they sent you an email, and to get in you basically had to print the email out, then wait by the blue man group until someone came to get you.

I was always on the standby line for people who didn't have park tickets, that was just cattle call outside the studio they taped in.

New user here, is there any sort of lolcow thread on Tony Khan? How a coke addicted vanity searching 40-year-old child was ever allowed near a major broadcast station or the NFL Draft is beyond me.

twitter is even worse, theres like absolutely zero nuance when it comes to anything wrestling on there, WWE does one or two things they disagree with and Gen Zers think Triple H and Nick Khan personally perpetrated the Holocaust, its difficult to even get on the internet anymore, not even just in terms of wrestling but its a prime subject I find hard to engage with

Normally I’d say “It’s Meltzer, take it with a grain of salt”, but it’s fairly public knowledge that Vince loved Truth. It’s entirely possible Truth’s contract WAS in fact, Fuck Huge for being essentially a comedy act. Add in that Truth is in his 50’s - despite looking like, half that - and it makes sense from a financial standpoint.
