I’d want to say that Tony may be behind it using Shahid’s fortune to try and take out his enemies, but that’s a bit too conspiratorial and if it did succeed Tony would likely be caught in the crossfire and get accused of sexual assault himself by tons of people. Could be Reid Hoffman trying to take out big money supporters of Trump, he has the money and as shown by the Carroll lawsuit this wouldn’t be the first time he’s dug into funding sexual assault cases but I feel like he would want to go after bigger targets. Other than that I’m unsure which specific billionaire would go after Vince that he personally pissed off.

Probably good PR to get brownie points from all of the Smarks who despise Vince and WWE with a passion, and also to cover up his own ass in regards to any possible sexual assault cases against AEW such as the Kylie Rae/Jericho drama. Apparently he hired her as a talent scout to watch Jaguars games for potential wrestlers, but if that was the case why would she go to jaguars games when Tony only hires Indie guys.

The opportunity to dramatically read Vince's cringe texts to Janel Grant into the record would be too powerful of a temptation to ignore.
I would treat being in Congress the same way Tony Khan treats booking wrestling: I'm just entertaining myself.

Those fucking texts. I think of the man, his amazing legacy of what he was able to do, which is pretty crazy. He conquered the world of wrestling, made it his own. He fought guys with more money, he danced with the FBI numerous times, its an amazing story really.

If i'm being honest i reckon it could be a possibility. Her pre-taped promo got a great reaction last night and i reckon Mercedes wouldn't mind putting her over even if it is a fuck finish.
As much as i like Toni, her and Mariah need to move on from their story, even if they restart it again somewhere down the road. Slot Mercedes into the world title picture in Tonis place for a while.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was hiring these people to get dirt. I could also see Jericho just being drunk and saying bullshit and Tony is taking it to try to run with it. It's weird how Janel Grant's lawyers say there's all these people coming forward but we haven't heard anything. Now Martha Hart is meeting with the lawyers? All so strange.
He literally signed her for a year to sit at home and collect a check.
She must be really bummed her Star Wars appearance didn't snowball into a Rock or Batista style hollywood role.

I swear there is nothing more cringe inducing than watching a person using someone else's tragedy for their own benefit all the while pretending it's just because they are wholesome and care.
I refuse to believe a mark like Tony was a big owen fan. Between Owen's Bret feud and SCSA's neck break Tony probably cheered when he died and got confused by HHH saying "Owen is not a nugget" on the memorial show.

I think it helps that we don't have say super fans of select acts or people who tip toe around certain topics. You go to a place like /pw/ or r/SquaredCircuit and you know who you are "allowed" to talk about or put down. Especially if a certain act has a political take or two.
Let's take Odyssey Jones for example. He was fired due to his crazy ex, but he still isn't forgiven by reddit smarks because he isn't fond of trannys and is a proud Christian. Meanwhile these same smarks turn a blind eye to Obi's feelings on the 41% club and his faith because he's booked well in NXT.

Both Martha & Khan are slimeballs over Owen's legacy.
It's because most of the regulars in this thread are fans of wrestling rather than fans of a particular wrestling promotion.
I only really watch AEW, NJPW and occasionally joshi but i can acknowledge that WWE, TNA and the lucha companies have great shows and have really good rosters. It just isn't really my kind of thing and that's ok. I'm not going to declare it objectively shit just because i don't enjoy it.
Frankly, AEW is my main show and it's a bit shit at the moment so i agree with a lot of peoples current criticism of it. I hope things will improve but i won't be "jumping ship" like most r/squaredcircle or /pw/ tards do the minute they don't agree with a booking decision on their favourite show.

I could see Tony being an Owen fan in the sense that Owen was always a dirtsheet darling. Tony seems like one of those "Owen should have been WWF champion because he had good workrate" type of guys.

Fair enough, I know Tony had bragged about how long he's subscribed to WON, but tony seems like an Attitude Era bandwagoner. There's a specific type of mark who gets so personally insulted by vince's post Stone Cold booking, and in my experience it was always those who hopped on when it was popular in 98/99 and we're shocked when it got bad again. I call them "people who didn't grow up watching the New Generation."
