I miss the days when we had legitimate weight categories in wrestling, specifically in WCW before everyone grew an ego. These days vanilla midgets are getting delusions of grandeur thinking they should be booked like Goldberg.

On another note, Ethan Page seems to be quite the pick-up for NXT. I'm not a fan of his toy-hunting YouTube videos but the guy has legit talent on the mic and in the ring.

One thing this era of wrestling is missing is the hoss psycho brawlers like Terry Gordy and Stan Hansen.

I would imagine getting signed for an absolute fortune to AEW makes people who lingered in the mid-card in WWE think that they were actually amazing all along and the plebs were "wrong" about them.

I like Ricochet solely for his in-ring stuff but he is absolutely dog-shit on the mic so he'll never be a top guy.
It shouldn't be so difficult to promote someone like Richochet. All you have to do is keep his talking to a minimum while emphasizing his athleticism. Then you build him up in the mid card before having him chase after the world title for a while.

I fucking sick of memberberries and people going on and on about how tne golden age of media always conveniently lines up with your formative years/early adulthood

But I don't just 'member it, I can watch all those 80s and 90s shows right now and see that they were way better. Even the things that were bad were better.

You fucking watch a 97-98 raw/nitro with every single match ending in 2 minutes or having some kind of run in or no contest fuck finish especially when the NWO was involved or otherwise involving some combination of val venis the godfather or tiger ali Singh and the like and tell me that people don't have a completely selective memory about the attitude era the wwf undercard was borderline unwatchable up until like late 2000-early 2001 when they gave russo the boot

if you think wwe and aew sucks, just make your own wrestling companys you catfighting cheap ass niggers.

this thread gets slowly unreadable.

RAW and Nitro were just there to build to PPV's, so the short matches and run-ins didn't bother me much.

Mayu just pinned Toni Storm and I am very happy.

Just your standard springboard poisonrana finish:

I know i sound like a broken record but these Japanese girls are on a completely different level. Their training starting when they are kids and involving them getting the shit kicked out of them early on to filter out the ones who aren't going to take the job seriously makes a huge difference.

WWE is pretty good right now, granted I think theres a few things they could be doing better, but overall its 1000x more watchable then it was 5 years ago, AEW meanwhile fucking sucks and neckbeards have deluded themselves into thinking its somehow worth watching.

I'd argue that AEWs in-ring product is excellent at the moment but a lot of that is down to TK giving away PPV level matches on free TV every second week.

However, their top storylines are currently mostly terrible and you have multiple people who are over-as-fuck spinning their wheels for months.

The fact that D-Bry is their top guy but doesn't have a solid feud going is really bad booking. I guess the BCC is mad at him or something but neither Mox nor Claudio are winning the top title so who cares.

Mariah May is killing it as womens champ every time she's on screen but they seem to be waiting for Mina to sign before they actually do anything with her that matters.

The Bucks just sort of have the tag titles and do matches every week. Fuck it. Put them in a multi-team match and have The Outrunners get lucky and win the belts off them. It'll make things interesting in the division at least.

Perry is trying his best to re-invent himself but it is coming off as kind of cheesy for some reason. I can't fault the guy as far as his ability goes but he isn't a convincing heel.

Okada is still one of the best wrestlers in the world but him playing a borderline chicken-shit heel is making him feel like just another guy. Hopefully when Omega comes back they'll work an angle where Kazu stops being a goofy shitter and switches back to being the Rainmaker.

honestly neither Balor or Priest critically really need a win here so id be ok with either of them winning tonight.

If I were booking, I'd have Priest go over after interference from Judgement Day fails for Balor. Would keep the animosity between them for a potential rematch. It also depends on who goes over between Liv and Rhea. If Rhea wins, then I can see Priest going over making more sense long term, but that is very predictable.

I think we'll have an even mix of heels and babyfaces going over tonight.
