Wasn't he aware of this and looking to get out of the business entirely?

I remember hearing stories back in the day about how he just wanted to finish out his contract and become a teacher or something.
Firefighter actually.

He was ready to quit entirly but Vince promised the moon for him to stay but the combination of Hunter and Austin squashed any chance of him getting to fulfill those promises and his career plateaued at being Rock's hypeman in the final days of the NoD.

Today I noticed that WWE has a Youtube channel called "WWE Vault".

It uploaded all kinds of interesting stuff, including the Undertaker vs Mankind Hell in a Cell match.

Today they uploaded a kind of lost media match between a very young CM Punk against the Road Warriors in a tag match. I'll recommend all of you to check out the channel, it's pretty cool.

Most generous I've ever seen the road warriors be with job guys was this before or after they got in hot water for no selling rvd and kane like cunts? Could explain them trying to be on best behavior but the road warriors were always cunts who no sold everything and just roughed people up

I got an unpopular wrestling opinion that will certainly grind a lot of gears.

Owen Hart was super overrated and is only praised like he is because of his death.

His promos were awful. He had no charisma. His in-ring work was good but he was not very safe with his opponents. He did that piledriver to Austin, against Austin's wishes, and nearly paralyzed him and fucked up his neck, which shortened his career. He then tried the exact same thing with Dan Severn and almost paralyzed him as well.

Smarks love to say shit like "he would've been world champion at some point". There's no fucking way he would've been world champion with guys like Austin, Rock, Foley, Taker, HHH, etc.. and later Benoit, Eddie, Angle, Lesnar, Cena, etc...

I actually was rooting for him to beat Godfather at OTE since I hated Godfather (even me at that age thought it was a try-hard stupid gimmick), but he's only praised like he is because he died early.
I 100% agree. I said before that I found Owens body of work extremely mid outside of two years of his career (94 and 97). He was the WWF's version of Dean Malenko, a smark darling because of "muh workrate" despite being a charisma vacuum. Though to Owens credit, he wasn't a total lost cause in the charisma department unlike Dean.

it's hard to believe Punk was ever that young
and I remember (sorta) him feuding with Raven in MLW

Punk now is within striking distance of Hawk's age here.
He even scaled the Titantron like Hawk did.

If you believe Missy Hyatt, Sean Morley does not live up to the Val Venis gimmick. At all.

Probably why he's so angry.
I choose to believe it. Missy Hyatt was the ultimate ring rat in her day, it's far easier to see who she didn't bed.

Maybe her ride on the big valbowski was post-Kaientai?
Nah, IIRC his li'l venis shriveled at the last minute just as the guy with the katana went choppy-choppy.

Now leak the picture of Tony meeting Vince.

For those more acquainted with crowds, how likely is Cleveland to shit all over the match if Punk doesn't deliver/ Drew and Rollins can't carry his sugar glass skeleton to a decent performance?
Acquainted with Cleveland in particular, they’re very responsive crowds in general, kind of like Detroit.
They get rowdy and trashy, it’s fun.

Will be going to SummerSlam this year, one of the criticisms I’m anticipating about the crowd is that they’re not making enough noise, want to point out that Cleveland Browns stadium is outdoor and that doesn’t always translate as well as indoor stadiums for pops and chants.

Plus I’m sure the crowd is going to go nuts seeing hometown winners for the first time in Cleveland Browns stadium.
Both The Miz and Logan Paul are Cleveland natives, that’s always good for crowd reactions.
