For a 40 years of Wrestlemania I'd expected people who have actually done shit in Wrestlemania or a main eventer, like Batista (who still hasn't got his induction), Lex Luger, the rock, bam bam, hell even Bray could've been the main event inductee. How am I moron for saying it was a meh hall of fame class in the grand scheme of being a celebration of 40 years of mania, sure Paul got In due to the Philly connection & is probably representing ecw as a hole, but you got to be a retard if you think that class is better than 2022 where taker, the fucking stiener's & Vader got Inducted.

And 2 of them are inducted are known for japan/territory work. Not being in wwe as a hole.

To imply that the 2024 HOF was lackluster is just wrong. The amount of talent represented on that list is bigger than WrestleMania and it shouldn’t matter if the talents competed in Mania or not. The class of 2024 represents some of the best talents that, while not insanely popular with everyone, still carried professional wrestling as a business. I think the problem with a wrestling hall of fame is that there isn’t one that is strong enough to be used as a consensus pick for all promotions across the sport.

I have the distinct memory of Batista saying he would want to be inducted 10 years after his retirement because that's how the NFL times out HOF inductions. I still think Bray should've been inducted though. I missed a lot of his career, but he was in the business long enough to warrant an induction.
I thought it was due to him being inducted during covid & he wanted to get his ceremony after quarantine.

Bray's family did ask that he not be inducted this year.
Fair enough.

I blame the concussion lawsuit for most of the hall of fame. People like sabu, bundy, demolition & kamala can't get in. But I expected someone like pillman or sandman get in due to their legends deal they signed in August.

Speaking of Bray and Wrestlemania: I always thought the gimmick where Bray used a projector to put images of bugs and worms on the mat in his match with Randy was an awesome idea and should come back. They could have done more with it and the audience's reaction the first time they did it was so special. Loved that so much.

John Cena is not the only one who will be retiring next year. Meiko Satomura is currently part of WWE's tour in Japan and indicated she will be hanging up her boots in 2025.

Looks like RoH is going to be rebranded to AEW: Ring Of Honor and will get a weekly TV show on one of the WBD stations under the new deal TK is signing with them,

Also, Anna Jay is going to be in the Stardom version of the G1 representing AEW. An interesting pick tbh. She's improved vastly since she debuted but she can still get a bit lost in some of her recent matches i've seen. I presume it's some part of a talent swap and AEW will get someone from Stardom for Wembly for a showcase match with Shida or whoever.

Joe Hendry worked an NXT houseshow last night.

TNA getting openly cucked out of their most popular guy is a bit sad.
Unless he was going to work a TNA date and was pulled so he could be on NXT instead then this isn't a good point. So long as NXT keep iterating that he's a TNA talent who's being borrowed then it does tons to legitimize TNA.

Not sure how to feel about this. Could be a good move if they have enough going for it to make it its own standalone product, which I'm not too optimistic about.

It could work. The RoH PPV last night was supposedly pretty good and they are more recently using some of the lesser know/used people on the main roster for the RoH shows at the moment rather than doing the previous dumb shit of having random RoH matches on AEW TV.

Keep it as separate as possible with the occasional significant crossover moment that makes sense. Literally just copy what WWE does with NXT and you could easily get another TV show that does 300-400k a week with people you already have signed anyway who aren't really doing much.

For instance, one of the matches from last night that people are talking about was a hardcore match between Leyla Hirsch and Diamante. Creating a bit of buzz that way for RoH is better than them having a 10-minute time filler on Rampage before they both disappear again for the next 6 weeks.

It's not going to work for the same reason as ECW didn't work when WWE revived it or if WWF had kept the WCW show. Unless the product is drastically different, it's still the same company and same product.

ROH will be basically like Rampage only more indie-like

Or it could work like Bushiroad and Cyberfight where various distinct promotions are all owned by the same company.

The big problem i see there is Tony not having the discipline to not want to constantly show off his new toy on AEW if someone on RoH starts to get popular. Literally have RoH be part of Forbidden Door as a separate promotion or send the people from their roster off on excursion to build up the profile of the promotion or any time a mid-carder from another fed is offered to them then put them in a meaningful angle in RoH rather than going for the usual debut-pop on Dynamite that goes nowhere.

If RoH does get it's own TV show the best outcome is that TK isn't all that involved in it day-to-day. Give it to D-Bry now that he is winding down.

She sure was. She sabotaged women's wrestling the 1980s WWF, which lead to no one giving a shit when it came back for a few years, then when it came back it was just complete shitty until very recently.
I think it's even worse these days tbh. There's WAAAAY too many divas in WWE roster today, and even if I was invested in their stories, 99% all have the exact same catty bitch character. Even the diva faces aren't immune from being over the top obnoxious.

Far too many identical blonde bimbos as well. I literally can't tell some of them apart from each other.
