The whole state of Okada right now is so fucking sad.
I had him as the best of the best in 2018. I'm sorry that I had to say this in this thread considering the feeling about them but I don't care, but the two matches he had with Omega I consider it to be the best two matches in modern wrestling, and probably the best in the history of New Japan Pro Wrestling. I was so naive back then, thinking that Okada would do amazing in America if he ever gets a job there.
Well, here it is, Okada is in America, and he's the fucking curtain jerker of the most insipid and braindead version of the nWo I've ever seen. And is occuring just as I thought it was gonna go. The Bucks would get to him like cancer and drain the stock and popularity out of him and he would get to midcard staus probably until the guy retires. I don't think he's ever going to win the world title now, and even if he does, it would feel pretty artificial and rushed, considering TK's booking.
This is a guy who main evented a couple of times in a stacked Tokyo Dome. This is a sad state of affairs for him. I just hope now that he gets the better deal out of this and could retire peacefully.
