Kenny has been stuck at home recovering from surgery, and streaming fighting games on twitch. He has been openly critical about what AEW has become and while not actually saying names has been subtly burying Tony Khan a lot. He probably noticed this bullshit, but you probably won't get his opinion until next week. He said he wasn't going to stream this weekend because he wanted to watch WrestleMania and ignore the AEW weirdo fans.

I'm all for it - without AEW Tony Khan would just be some billionaire's cokehead failson, this is much more entertaining to watch.

Who'da thought that Kenny Omega would be the voice of reason?

Considering how beat to shit Omega is, I wouldn't be too surprised if after his current deal is up if he tried to get a Gold Watch run in WWE, say he was there and get a payday. As far as I'm aware, the only person he has any potential heat with there is Punk, who's possibly more beat to shit anyway, so who knows?

Apparently Punk and Kenny got on fairly well before the backstage fight. Kenny is respectful of people who have made it in the business regardless of where they built their legacy and he is supposed to be very approachable and friendly in the locker room.

I think his current run in AEW is his gold watch run. He's lasted fuck all time back after his previous absence and he was wrestling mostly multi-man matches before he had to go this time. He's fucked.

- promoter fatally falls for this line

- smarks have no money and cannot be appeased anyway
- kids no longer spend daddy's money on merch due to unlikeable heel bullshit of every wrestler
- promoter increases EDGY FANWANK in desperate attempt to make up for declining income
- LOLTNA Era of promotion
- promotion is bought out/overhauled by someone who doesn't hate making money
- promotion is heavily marketed to kids again
- hit the trumpets John Cena
- return to first step and repeat

If it's the actual Punk/Perry footage, AEW is going to look bush league.

If it's a bait and switch, it's going to be WCW 2000 'working the boys' levels of bullshit.

lol Punk has been in WWE for almost half a year and he's still proving himself to be AEW's top draw.

Edit: Phil has a personality disorder and anger issues, but he knew AEW had footage of it. I don't know what he'd stand to gain from lying about what was in it; he could literally rape Perry in the ass in the footage and no one in the WWE's considerably larger audience is going to stop watching the WWE over Punk being there, because 90% of them don't watch AEW, 9% watch it to laugh at it, and the remaining 1% are consoomers who might froth and seethe about Punk online for a week or two but still watch the product out of brand loyalty.

Khan/Bucks/AEW, however, have (in their extremely autistic estimation) everything to gain by showing footage selectively edited or cherry picked to make Punk look as bad as possible. And that's assuming this isn't some extremely gay bait and switch regardless of what Alvarez says.

The Snowman is going full Samson and I love it. Whatever happens, the fallout will be legendary, and unlike his all night twitter spergfests at nobodies, I actually respect the level of pettiness. We're in the home stretch of Wrestlemania weekend and now this retardation is all everybody is talking about. I haven't laughed this hard in a long time.

It is unbelievable how much Dave and Bryan have been worked in the last year. Pretty much since the CM Punk return to WWE they have been falling for every single bit of bait dropped their way and reporting on it as news. They constantly cope and sneed and come up with some way to explain that they weren't worked, but it just keeps happening. I don't care how many people Dave and Bryan said they confirmed it with today, that footage is going to be a work.
