I remember that earlier this year Vampiro talked about having to retire because one more bad hit to the head could kill him. It was an interview in spanish. Weeks later, Vampiro was on NWA and later got booked on some AAA show.
I think I get why Sean Waltman said Vampiro is "full of shit" on one of those Kayfabe Commentaries videos.
how dare you imply that Vampiro hasn't actually recovered from a dozen broken necks and several bouts of alzheimers over the past year and a half

PWInsider.com can confirm that this past Monday morning TKO's Marc Shapiro as well as WWE's Nick Khan and Paul Levesque were in NYC at the Warner Bros. Discovery headquarters meeting with WBD executive Bruce Campbell about potentially moving Raw to the WBD family.

AEW is fucked.

Hail to the King, baby.
Wait really THAT Bruce Campbell

(:_(

hell punk wont stay without fucking up before hbk retires and even then they probably will run with road dogg and the other dx losers to book the shows
I think injuries are the bigger concern, to be honest. Although trying to pick a fight with HHH's best friend does seem like the type of idiocy that is completely on brand for Punk and feeds into the desperate 'respected vet' title he really really really wants. Thinking he's on par with Michaels would fit with that, lol.

Part of that is just hope on my end, but also because it would be really really funny if Pepsi Man finally gets his big Wrestlemania Main Event and then scuttles it because he's more brittle than Kevin Nash's quads, which were never the same after his violation in 1992.

I know he is booked for some shows now coming up, but has he done anything beyond promos/standing around?

Him being in the Rumble seems smart, too, given they can protect his ass.

He's working house shows to shake off the ring rust

iirc wasn't the USA/Peacock etc deal partially from the old relationship between Vinny Mac and NBC's Dick Ebersol or however it's spelled?
I could see jumping to another conglomerate more likely with less Vince

Is any modern wrestling watchable? I heard WWE was better once Vince left but it's still the same slop I've hated every time I've tried to dip in. 3 hours of women botching and vanilla midgets competing for drag queen of the year.
I'm in the same boat but if you're a fan of old school wrestling then modern wrestling is not for you. Not to say it's terrible. Just that it pales in comparison to the Attitude ear or Ruthless Aggression era.

I know it's the current year but I don't understand why there isn't a manly promotion. It doesn't have to be hardcore gore, drugs, sex and blood in every match but a simple ape of the attitude era would be an obvious sell. No one seems to like Seth Faggot Rollans prancing around like he's got a new butt plug or the woman's division being nothing but tranny look a likes and bimbos fucking up back flips. So why hasn't something like TNA made a classic style wrestling show for non-homosexuals?

Maybe Corgan's NWA? Or try pretty much any men's promotion in Japan, where they mostly keep the women in their own promotions.

TNA won't because the head booker is literally sucking tranny dick.

I tried NWA's halloween show and it didn't live up to the hype people had made around it. It didn't feel any different to the other shows I'd tried.

TNA is that bad? Fuck. I loved old TNA and the current show is unwatchable. How did these people get so much influence in the wrestling industry?

NJPW has fun matches but the story lines are hard to follow for a non-weeb. The bald/corn row heel was a lot of fun to watch.

A new report from Bloomberg Law indicates that WWE and Vince McMahon are being sued.

The nature of the lawsuit relates to ‘racist’ script content, that a black writer named, Britney Abrahams opposed to.

The report states:

“World Wrestling Entertainment Inc., Vince McMahon, and other executives allegedly discriminated and retaliated against a Black female writer for objecting to “offensively racist and stereotypical jargon” used in the scripts of Black wrestlers including Bianca Belair and Apollo Crews, according to a new lawsuit. She was allegedly subject to a number of racist pitches after complaining. On a Slack thread that McMahon and his daughter Stephanie McMahon were included on, other writers suggested a Black male wrestler should dress in drag. Only when a White writer noted that doing so could “perpetuate harmful stereotypes that would offend viewers” was the pitch scrapped”.

“On another occasion, a writer allegedly proposed that a Muslim’s wrestler’s secret in a script be that he was “behind the 9/11 attacks. Abrahams and other writers complained about the comments, to which Vice President Christine Lubrano allegedly responded, “Wacky things are said in the writer’s room all the time!” and “I know but look at the waves we’re making in the company. 4 years ago, no woman worked on the writer’s team! Abrahams continued to opposed racist, sexist pitches, she said, and was fired in retaliation in April 2022. WWE fired her for taking with her a WrestleMania 38 branded chair, but the practice was allegedly a common practice that White male writers weren’t punished for”.
