It's funny because this actually would be a surprising turn that I think would resurrect the storyline, but you just know it's going to be some absolutely dumb shit like Darby or Orange Cassidy.
Darby makes no sense and the only way to conceivably connect Orange Cassidy to the Devil plot would be to have the Devil be Avery Good and sacrifice MJF to set up Avery as the next big bad. This would give Orange Cassidy a proper nemesis given their past history, along with the fact that Avery has ties to Claudio (who trained him) and Wheeler Yuta (Avery is long rumored to have been one of the guys under the Nytehawk mask that worked with Wheeler when he was Sylverhawk) to refresh the main event scene.

Ironically, Avery as the Devil would at least open some new storylines and for something of a grand reset of sorts: get rid of MJF for a while so he can heal up/write him off for good if he intends to jump ship to the WWE, allow them to pull the trigger on pushing Orange as the face of the company, FINALLY give Wheeler character development for people to give a fuck about him, along with giving Claudio something major to do.

On the Collision stream on Fite during the ad break a random voice with English accent said Vikingo is the most overrated wrestler on the AEW roster.

It was Kip Sabian. They played his 5 sec promo he did during his entrance during the ad break.

Edit. British accent of course lol

Austin Theory is never leaving the lower mid card, is he?
Haitch taking over creative was 100% the worst thing that could have happened for his career. Grayson Waller is HHH's Theory now except Waller is way more talented on the mic.
I actually like Austin Theory but I don't think he is ever getting a push in a HHH booked WWE. I think Theory is gonna have to go the Cody route and get over somewhere else before coming back because I just don't see where a Theory push comes from in WWE right now.

Abbadon slimmed the fuck down and she's fucking fun as a dumb gimmick.
I mentioned months ago that she was getting back into shape. She's not in her Myspace shape days, but she's getting there.
Not a fan of this Collision. Andrade needs to go away, it's too easy to tell when he'll win a match as he's one of those guys that refuses to lose against anyone who's not from the WWE or a major guy from NJPW (Miro is no better and luckily he's gone once his contracts up). If Karen Jarrett knows the business than you it's time for you to quit or just fuck off for a bit. In all his matches this year in various promotions he's lost three. It's no wonder why he's not given a spot at a PPV. he wont do the job. Bryan did a terrible job telling a story in the ring during his Kingston match near the end. Good to see King win another match and against Claudio too to help feed that storyline. Wasn't a fan of the tag match but the bit with FTR was good though. The other tag match was a waste of time, as was the Strong bit.

you know aew losers would receive with open arms effy and the rest of fag wrestling. ric deserves better. WOOOOOOOO
They’d do the same to anyone that isn’t old school and has baggage. They pretend Sting isn’t a Christian man of faith and morals.

But let’s be real here. As long as someone goes to AEW they love them. At least WWEGareth has the stones to admit he wanted punk back in WWE just to make AEW fans mad.
They were scrambling for “Drew Galloway” to come to AEW despite not giving a shit about Drew up to that point.

They’d absolutely coom themselves if “Tyler Black, “Joe Anoa’i”, “Kevin Steen”, “Eli Drake”, “Punishment Martinez”, “Prince Devitt”, etc all rocked up to Dynamite.
So, first time I’ve ever actually watched one of Impacts Territory Throwback Episodes- the IPWF - , I have no real idea what’s going on, but I respect the sheer level of commitment to the bit.

Shoulda gone all in and used a low quality camera, but I’m all for it.
It’s very funny and entertaining.

Bryan did a terrible job telling a story in the ring during his Kingston match near the end.
Or maybe Kingston just sucks in the ring.

In other news, the only way this Devil thing pans out good is if it’s Adam Cole the whole time.
Where he’s just sitting there in the chair with MJF standing in front of him and the devil comes up on the screen.
The devil pulls the mask off and it’s revealed to be Cole. MJF does one of his stupid overly exaggerated soy face gapes and starts to turn around only for Cole to be standing there having gawd the injury the whole time.
Cole hits The Boom or whatever it’s called on Max and tells him he was never his friend and blah blah blah.

Disagree. Cole would suck and quite frankly, AEW's in dire straits and you need someone who can use the gimmick of being unmasked as the devil to do a sort of soft-reboot for AEW in terms of ending MJF's reign and creating new story direction with a new big bad to stir the plot and launch new storylines.

And since MJF's continued status with AEW is iffy, you can have someone new come in to basically kick MJF out of the company by defeating him to explain away him leaving AEW and set up a new heel champion that would, among other things, allow Cole to keep his current character development intact since Adam Cole desperately needs SOMETHING to motivate him and allow himself to reinvent himself beyond being a one-note guy still trading off of his Undisputed Era character he's been playing for ages.

I think Cole woulda been perfect to be the devil, like 3 months ago. One of the pillars AEW kept bashing our heads with at the beginning was "long term storytelling." I think Tony got long term storytelling confused with stories that take a long time to tell.

Adam Cole and MJF were forced to tag up back in June of this year, and had some pretty good moments I thought. But 3 months after they won the ROH tag titles, we're STILL at the point where MJF is teaming with randoms to successfully defend the titles "for his best friend" and have been teasing this devil angle for 2 months now. In 6 months we've gone from "they are forced to tag" to... not much more than that same place but friends now.

Wardlow came back almost 2 full months ago, immediately called out MJF, and has...squashed some jobbers.

Has dark order done ANYTHING since Huber died? They teased and promised a whole lot and nothing ever happened.

Is RVD gone?

John Morrison had plans to take over QTV or something and that's gone no-where in like a month.

Danhousen almost got left to time until a near-riot on twitter to actually bring him back when promised. Nothing's actually HAPPENED with Danhousen since he came to AEW, but he almost got figuratively left at a bus-stop somewhere.

Keith Lee came back after getting destroyed by Swerve, just so he could... wrestle in a couple trios matches? He recently said he's tired of opportunities passing him by and he's gunna take them by force, but I would be legitimately shocked if any story got actually told.

Lana debuted at All Out back in August. Miro returned all the way back in June! And the grand story they have to tell is...nothing? Miro is kinda playing the cuck angle again sort of?

There are dozens of examples like these, where a few guys get stories to tell to various degrees of success, but most just get some TV time, promise something, and are gone for weeks at a time or just get to wrestle a tag match. Not everyone needs some book of story, but most people don't even get to the second page! For all its faults at least WWE can start a story, build it somewhat and deliver an ending besides lol Cody. They're mostly formulaic and predictable but they can at least get the point across.

I was wondering what the hell happened to Simon Miller after WCPW fell off and now I wish I didn't. I guess he's really desperate for Tony Kahn to confuse him for Ryback and give him a contract.

Seriously, the point of this absolute cope of a video is that AEW arenas aren't really empty because no one goes to see the shows. It's because people just can't afford it. So technically the arenas aren't empty at all. Theoretically AEW would make loads of ticket sales if wasn't for covid, the economy, and heckin gross E-Drones spreading FALSE INFORMATION about the arenas being empty.
I just love how AEW basically took the worst type of wrestling fan and gave them a big enough platform to stink the joint up. It's bad enough that they're the typical neckbeard smark that likes to hijack shows with stupid chants, but to find out they're also the low income wrestling fan who believes that they should be catered to more than a higher income family of four who actually spends money on wrestling is hilarious. Speaking of which, just check out this past RAW. CM Punk literally showed up two days earlier and yet the show wasn't hijacked with CM Punk chants because the "Yes" and "CM Punk" chanting faggots are now watching the superior product.
Knowing how things are going for AEW, the devil is probably Dolph Ziggler. AEW has a multitude of problems, when they first started I liked how they would do vignettes and they would have all these storylines that would go on for months or even longer. At least then when a match was made for a PPV I would actually want to see the match. Then they started signing every single WWE castoff, it seemed if you had a cup of coffee in the WWE you would get an AEW contract. Then you had Rampage added, then the ROH purchase, then Collision. When it was just Dynamite with a limited roster you had to put your best foot forward to get people to tune in, now everything is so bloated from the time you have to fill to the roster it has created a mess with Tony snorting most oc Colombia at this point not really helping.
AEW started off with paint by numbers booking that was almost impossible to fuck up, you'd have an encounter practically the next show after a PPV that sowed the seeds for the next PPV. About a year or so in AEW just straight up got caught up in their booking messes and started cutting the distance between match announcement and the match at the ppv until I believe it was Revolution (sparklergate) where the actual Exploding Barbed Wire stipulation was only really announced the week beforehand. Just look at the All In/All Out mess. About two weeks out from the Wembley show there was nothing on the card and there was one match on the All Out card.

I personally find it funny how the 'peak' NXT era was literal paint by numbers booking that was a refreshing throwback to wrestling of the past. They'd set up something and have the standard back and forward feud that culminated in the Takeover. Somewhere along the line, wrestling bookers started thinking that this was too obvious and you have to constantly twist things for no fucking reason so now we're in an era where you don't know shit from one week to the next.

The only thing more empty than AEW shows is it's video game player base.

apparently CMLL is teasing him coming back
Maybe they'll slap some sense into him and tell him do to do job with with real talent. Even Rush isn't as bad as he is. He's been great to watch does the job when needed, has decent storylines and character in the promotion. Andrade (and Miro) can fuck off back to the WWE where they'll be with Austin Theory in the low-mid midcard. Hell, Andrade needed his wife to get any major matches there.

yeah there's a rich tradition of "guy goes to WWE, learns to suck ass at everything" but Sombra REALLY hit that hard and fast

The thing is too that Andrade and Rush with his brother and Vance had a good thing going, than Andrade fucked off because he wants to be the next Mexican Hogan while Rush just turned that group better by making it some form of Mafioso/ Cartel thing, like "what if Cartel but we give them the fashion sense of an Italian mobster?". Great! I'm sold!. Give me heels with some story instead of "I'm heel because I'm bad and say bad things". Wrestling has had that crap since the dawn of wrestling. At least Lucha Underground understood we needed heels with character/ story to them.
