I think this says more about the state of CW then NXT. Did they run out of capeshit or tween drama shows?
I honestly figured that network was going under after Supernatural finally ended - oh name one other thing on that channel literally anyone watched. Either this is a Hail Mary, or this is the CW cutting ties with the NWA and filling the gap with NXT.
NXT may finally be getting romance angles like how some wrestlers wanted. They must have zero hope for anything to change with the strike. Oh well, wrestling always does well when writers go on strike.
Vampire Diaries extended series, Arrow, but that died as did all of the DC stuff, that Archie show.

Pretty much. They cancelled a whole bunch last year just before their takeover because presumably even they realized that continually cranking out dogshit no-one was watching isn;t the most viable of business models. Seriously look at the absolute state of this shit:
CW went super woke and it backfired upon them mightily, culminating in them doubling down on woke shit when their capeshit started winding down and Supernatural ended.
It's at least a 50% increase, at most 75% increase in their rights fees according to Nick Khan and Ari. Plus being a broadcast channel instead of cable it's in more homes. So for a wrestling school, pretty damn good.
Considering Arn was just let go I don't see it. But it's such a retarded idea and so in line with modern AEW that I wouldn't be surprised at all if it happens.

I've heard tale that Arn, quietly and without anyone really noticing, personally secured the trademarks and other IP rights to the Four Horsemen stable after WCW went out of business. Supposedly for the purpose of making sure no one outside the WWE tried to do anything with the name after Arn realized that the WWE had no intention of ever reviving the concept and let whatever claim they might have had over the trademark lapse/never secured it to begin with ala the various WCW pay per view names they let lapse/never owned.
As of August he's been doing well. No reports yet at least about him nearly dying again.
