I've changed my podcast of choice to Dutch Mantell lately. Even-tempered guy, no Conrad talking over him, says many of the same things about wrestling that Cornette does, which I like, without the midwit political rants.

Dutch Mantell should have been a bigger name worldwide than he already is, total class act and professional. Runs rings around Cornette as a booker and manager, too.

so the wife is digging the Cassandro movie a lot, seems nice enough from the chunks I've caught but I have to question the finale of the big thing in Arena Mexico going exactly like that, afaik Arena Mexico will get pissy about anything beyond climbing on the announce table/booth thingy
anybody of better knowledge able to pitch in? I recall cubsfan alluded to "it's a nice movie but there's historical inaccuracies that are sort of a spoiler so I won't get into them" or something like that

He really is a low down faggot, I remember with how much glee he kept talking about slapping Santino, and when Santino confronted him years later about it, when Cornette couldn't get him fired anymore, Cornette became a little faggot bitch that hid behind the guards.

The "two faces rush the ring and fight off eight heels" trope is annoying, since it effectively kills any heat for the inevitable match between the faces and heels. It's hard to get excited for the faces to finally get their hands on the heels at the PPV when they've already ran the heels off outnumbered 4 to 1.

I wonder if this Wardlow run is actually going to go anywhere. They have a built in story with him going after MJF for the title and can build on their past history, but I don’t know guys, I think he’s cooked. I don’t see them taking the belt off of MJF any time soon, and Wardlow getting another big loss after primarily beating jobbers isn’t that compelling.

Speaking of people who were really hot once, the trajectories of Hook and a lot of people who either started at the same time as him or later is crazy. “Send Hook” feels like a fever dream now. I liked the Hookhausen stuff, but I feel like it might have fucked him in the long term because it’s been all weird thrown together tag teams and pointless title runs after that.
 
Has there ever been hard evidence of Cornette being a cuck? i only see him as the more successful version of Vince Russo. His ramblings about Kenny Omegalul and the Buckaroos make me giggle from time to time because he is so bitter about it.

Several wrestlers have talked about it, way too much smoke for there to not be fire tbh. I disagree on the assertion that he's like Russo, say what you want about the man but he didn't go around trying to act tough by slapping talent around then crying for security. Russo was trying to write car crash TV, and tried to give everyone on the roster something to do. Cornette is a faggot that's stuck in his NWA shit from the 80's.
