If I had to put together a list of reasons why I stopped watching aew, insulting my intelligence by burying the Canadian Destroyer on a weekly basis is one of them.

You gotta work em like John Wayne Murdoch does. Make sure your opponent really sells it, then just roll him over and get your W, king.

John Wayne Murdoch.webp
Reading this made me realize Pete's gimmick is being mad and unable to let go of the fact Vince gave him a shit gimmick/name. :story:
You are just now getting this. Not during that Raw where Sheamus kept hammering home that his name was "Butch" and not "Bitch" and so definitely no one should make fun of his gimmick because he might get upset? The audience was screaming "BITCH BITCH BITCH" all night.

I liked a lot of the Bucks and co's stuff early on, but seeing a man do a flip to put another man through a table is only entertaining so many times and after that point you start to realize that's all they can do.

Like, if I saw a man pull a lawnmower out of his ass on the street corner, I'd go, "Holy shit that's amazing!" but it's going to lose its novelty pretty quick after you see him do it a few times.

TK had the first 5 years of the company mapped out and blew through most of his good ideas in this time so popular guys and girls he has built up are just spinning their wheels in dogshit angles now.

I gotta call bullshit on this because I can't think that the Snowman anticipated getting CM Punk, Brodie Lee dying, Cody landing like a wet fart/going back to WWE, etc.

I think he had a basic idea for Hangman getting a 'big win' and maybe some broad strokes shit, but 5 years 'mapped out'? Nah.

Not gonna lie bros, I'd drag my dick through a country mile of broken glass and thumbtacks just to hear Liv Morgan queef through a walkie talkie and be thankful for the opportunity.
I spend eight years on this website fighting with every fiber of my being not to post shit like this and this nigga just comes right out and lays it all out there.

Godspeed you glorious bastard :semperfidelis:

major title change rumored for SNME, hoping its the Womens title, but not holding my breath, I don't personally want Gunther or Cody to lose. ill enjoy it regardless though
With them in Boston on Monday I am curious how the fans will be there.
ill be sure to boo them, we have a fairly normal non-smarky crowd (which im grateful for) up here but we are loudmouths towards heels, its relatively old school and tbh its better that way

Meanwhile, in Mexico:

I grew up firmly in the John Cena era and a lot of people my age back then got heated when he would get beat down by whatever Heel he was feuding with at the time, its something you look back on and just laugh about and appreciate the heel for doing his job, I imagine its similar for fans in Mexican promotions

This is the only video I could find referring to this short gimmick for Big Show. He would come out as a new character every time and just completely job out and the big man seemed fucking miserable during this period. Is there any backstory to this? Was this punishment for something?

Since the video is just the entrance, Show would get in the ring and announce "I am Shonan, the Barbarian!" And he'd job to someone I forget and he just goes "Fuck it" and grabs the sword and clocks the guy for a DQ.

I think it was just Vince McMahon not knowing what to do with his newly hired WCW star. Of course he would make his existence miserable for a while until they figured out what to do with him, he got some nicknames like the Big Nasty or the Big Nasty Bastard before finally sticking to Big Show.

I figured he did something to piss off the locker room because he admitted when he first got to WWF that he was an asshole and Undertaker chewed him out all the time.

This was right before he was shipped off to fat camp OVW for a stint
