I give the Army a lot of shit, but I don't think it's fair to blame them for Trench. His obsession about the greatness of Army training is due to it being his only accomplishments. His only backing for calling himself an expert and his online persona is that training. Between his own training video, his USPSA stolen valor, and ducking @SinistralRifleman 's challenge it's clear he can't back up anything he says.
 

Not YouTube but Iranian TV showed a program about how to use AKs last night on national television. The absolute mad lad fires a blank round inside without hearing protection out of his DDR AK at the UAE flag. The slant break on his AK is on upside down.

Handing a raw recruit a fucking full auto AK (or hell a full auto ANYTHING) makes them a liability even if they have the natural talent to hit the literal broad side of a 6-cow barn from 100 yards with minimal training. The fact that the 'instructor' is wholly incompetent really is just icing on the crap cake with these people attempting to play army man.

Dugans's bond was denied this morning in court, and he will spend the duration of the trial in federal custody.

Among many reasons, some outright lies or at least omissions by the FBI, the closing reason by the female judge was "hate speech". Which is odd since that's not a legal category as far as I was aware.

I got to sit in the courtroom with his wife and family during the process. The only words he spoke were "I love you" to his wife while being escorted out by US Marshalls.

Not sure if this is the right thread to ask this but with Dugan Ashley getting arrested what manuals should I be keeping on hand? I know everyone talks about the Improvised Munitions Handbook but what else should I have in my library?

I can tell you to stay the fuck away from the Anarchist's Cookbook unless you have a VERIFIED first-run edition. Anything after that was swiftly 'edited' at the 'request' of the feds and at best won't go boom at all.
