Let's google "merritt k trans" and yeah, that's a troon. With big plastic tits by the looks of it. That would explain why that person keeps getting away with murder/biphobia(seriously?).

Literally though the allegation pretty much amounts to the fact that he made fun of someone's erotica on twitter. lol This is supposed to be harrasment.

ViacomCBS sells CNET Media Group to digital marketing company Red Ventures
this includes Giantbomb and GameSpot
Jeff Gerstmann's take:
It's (kind of) happening!

With a very likely consequence of this sale being the new owners forcing everybody to cut costs, I wonder how Giant Bomb would do their share. My perfect situation would be cutting GBE loose, but letting Vinny and Alex come back out West if they like to replace Ben and Jan, who are gone even if the former two decline. Giant Bomb's selling point to me has always been Jeff and the others oldfagging it up; they should lean into that a lot harder.

But like I said, best case, and as even a post-Ryan fan they've been on the decline since 2016(?) when Drew left. I fully expect the cast to get younger overall.

Red Ventures is going to take a look at what they acquired and go "There's two video game sites. Why?"

I'm getting a VideoGamerUK vibe from this. They were like British GB and fell victim to a number of budget cuts that forced some of their older and more likable talent to jump ship. Newer, younger staff weren't up to the job and the site sank.

Best case scenario imo would be the new owners just putting the website out of its misery honestly. They've become so bloated over the years, they need to just pop and get it over with. As a fan of them since the gamespot days seeing the current state of the website just makes me sad.

Not like they couldn't recover. Jeff could easily just go back to basics and start a podcast with Brad/Vinny/Alex and it'd have a strong long term fanbase. Sure it wouldn't be as good as the old days but it'd at least be listenable which is a massive upgrade over their current situation where both podcasts are complete shit.

Vinny would be fun with an Abby that wasn't a snowflake and failed comedian. From what I remember they seemed to be careful around her while with Dan Rykert Vinny could just trick him into believing stupid shit all the time, but not in a mean way. That same thing with a young woman that was a video producer could be a fun dynamic without being the wheel clamp that Abby turned out to be.

Jason Schrier writes an article condemning CDProject Red for crunch.

CDProject Red appears on Game Informer to debunk the claims. Complete with talking to actual CDPR employees.

In response, Jason Schrier throws a temper tantrum on Twitter.
And his undeniable proof that he's right is a picture of an e-mail that not only doesn't prove his article is correct, it shows the opposite.
I humbly ask for employees to endure

Allegedly sending his followers to harass the Game Informer journalist.

Nevermind that I've interviewed nearly a dozen CDPR devs.
The employee, who asked not to be named

It says a whole lot that that this thread is moving slowly since no one cares or talks about Kotaku and the like on here. I guess they’re too busy trying to figure out why OAG is still up and running.
It's why I don't update the thread unless something blows up on YouTube or appears in another thread. Who wants to wade through click bait, Trump derangement syndrome, and copy pasted articles on the off chance the half-dozen gaming journalists that are left post something funny? Not me.

Even OAG isn't funny these days. I'm going to guess there's an article on the front page complaining about "centrists" and blowing some minor issue out of proportion. ie. The same thing he's been posting for a year now.

Summer is usually a quiet time for games anyway. Maybe we'll see some more salt once Cyberpunk is out, but they've already rolled out the big guns and failed to make much impact.

This shit's why I don't fucking care about game ethics crap anymore, people like Jason just want outrage for the clicks, they don't actually give a single shit about anything they're covering.

Also on a related note the only people who follow him or similar people seem like they actively trying to be pissed off at the gaming industry at this point. Oh, you did a bit of crunch within regulation, clearly you're now on par with fucking EA and should be fucking burned. Oh horror, you downgraded a reflection that anyone actually playing the fucking game would never noticed, lets rage about it Watch Dogs style. If you're at the point that the only thing you do is rage at video game companies you really should just get a different hobby, buy a Hornby train set or something.

Youtube recommended me this video and I got through half of it.
Is Yongyea usually this dumb? EA has been selling full price roster updates on low volume platforms for decades. Does he think FIFA 2010 on PS2 was the same game as FIFA 2010 on PS3? They actually are being more transparent by labeling it as a different version. Until 2013, they used the same promotional materials for those builds as the ones they actually gave a shit about.

He's complaining about something EA has been doing for seven years now. To a lot of normies, updated rosters and jerseys are all they really want. EA wouldn't be doing this if no one was buying. The shitty thing is charging full price.
