I used to enjoy their content a lot more, but frankly they spread themselves way too thin and have lost too many people to really course correct. Splitting the office was a bad idea in retrospect as it meant they severely cut down the ability for several people to work together (such as Jeff + Vinny content) and then losing Drew and Dan on top of that really left them in a position where they have to lean on people like Ben and Abby, when clearly that's a bad idea.
I really have no idea where they go from here, but they are on a short(ish) time table. The "core" is down to Jeff, Vinny, Brad, and Alex - and they're all getting older, having kids and/or thinking about retiring, and not even in the same office so they can't lean on each other as much as they'd like to.
There's also the total lack of innovation - Giantbomb (through Jeff) became so large because they were able to innovate in the video game journalism space; with a huge (and correct) focus on video content. They haven't really innovated beyond that, though, and it shows.
Giantbomb (currently) only "works" during the special events they have, which are primarily excuses to get both offices into one room (Christmas, GOTY, big conference coverage) and they don't seem to do it all that often.
