The funny thing is the best way to get either of these sets of spergs to accuse you of being on the other side is to point out they act exactly like what they're criticizing. As if either side would EVER say that, because that would be admitting their own side is a bunch of spergs too.

It still amazes me that people would get so crazy and obnoxious over their digital toys (console wars and "PC master race" are dumb enough).

Replace "video game industry" with "toy industry" and you'll see how absurd it is.

Sometimes, when I sit down at my ol' Xbox for a meaningless time - wasting evening of Call of Duty, I wonder:

Does the fact that ultimately, what I'm doing is just playing a video game and you could chuck it out the window, game, console, TV and all, and my life would not appreciably change, for better OR worse, well, am I so abnormal for realizing that gaming is just a recreational activity, not a lifestyle, and certainly not a political movement?

Where DID all these spergs go wrong? Because I've been playing games since the summer of 84' on an Atari 2600.... it's not like I haven't spent some time in the trenches, when did things get so (not really) serious?

Because apparently vidya games really ARE super serious business to a bunch of putzes who 'tard rage over two shitty "games" they'll never play (depression quest and revolution 60) or some bimbo critic like Sarkeesian.

They deserve to be grounded & have their game controllers & PCs taken away. ...never mind, they'll call Mom a SJW feminazi & Dad a beta mangina. Or some shit.

Man, I'm starting to miss the days where idiots said video games were tools of Satan or some crap.
 
In all honesty, people forget that while game news websites like Kotaku and such may help in promoting a game, they aren't the only force who convinces people to buy it.

This is why we have review systems in most cloud-based gaming services. If a game sucks, it won't take long before people eventually give it enough negative reviews to deter the next buyer.

I apologize if what I just said is very mis-informed, but that's how I see GamerGate. Anti-gamergate needs to shut up and play or make their own games, and pro-gamergate needs to review a game by it's genuine merits and rate it accordingly.

Golly gosh, I remember back when games were supposed to be fun.
