It's getting good right now. Gawker is in freefall, Zoe Quinn and Alex Lifshiz could be looking at a Party Van showing up, and Chris has joined the festivities on the oppositions side

A good question is whether they can directly link it to her. I suspect it'll be more like she used her SJW friends and will throw them under the bus as soon as they're no longer useful.
 
Is Quinn out of the country because of this or is she just on vacation? And the problem is that even though people on the Gamergate side are getting harassed, nobody seems to be writing articles on that. As long as it doesn't get media attention, it never happened. This is how they've controlled the narrative for so long, and I don't see that. ; /

Still... Death-threats (from whatever side) were an incredibly stupid and unproductve thing to do...But swatting and calling cops on people? Jesus, the lack of maturity at play here is outstanding.

I get people that don't want tokenism in video games, and I get the people that want better characters in video games but....what are they hoping to accomplish by using these tactics? It seems like everything has just devolved into scare-tactics and name calling.

Edit: I feel like I'm slowly joining the people that no longer understand what Gamergate is really about. : /

Why do you keep posting here if you only have negative opinions to it?

I really don't see how it effects you and all you do is come in, laugh at everyone here and repeatedly say how stupid you think this and by extension all of us are.

That's fine though, that's your opinion. I just don't get why you feel the need to make sure we all know that and it just makes you seems immature and quite rude.
 
Quinn's trip overseas has pretty damn suspicious timing. Sad thing is she used a pretty fanatical proxy to commit her criminal campaign, the person seems like a diehard who may not give Quinn up despite being obviously thrown under the bus.

Basically, the term's ruined. (Or well, that would imply that it was good in the first place.) The small number of people with good intentions are putting stress on a structure that wasn't up to code to begin with.

In particular, gamergate being about journalism ethics and gamergate's focus on Zoe Quinn are at odds.

Also, Zoe Quinn's prominence in this shitstorm is because of sexism.

For the people interested in journalism ethics, they should stop using the term "gamergate", unless they're OK with including sexism in the fundamental base of their movement.
