So I was on Facebook and on my trending feed appeared to have some news about Anita. Apparently a mailer threatened to start a mass shooting massacre at Utah State University if she decided to hold a speech there (of which she was planning to do so prior to the threat). She cancelled the speech because of the mailer.

She canceled the speech because the cops "wouldn't ensure her safety". Utah is state with a concealed carry permit, and they wouldn't do pat-downs or install metal detectors since people are legally allowed to carry their weapons on the premise. I'm not even going to link to the article, but this is how Gawker closed their article (a separate article was written on Kotaku, and I'm certain one will be up on Jezebel and maybe io9 shortly). [I just used article three times in one sentence wtf]

Earlier today I was going to make a post that I was surprised wikileaks supports pro-#GG considering how much of a drama-whore and hypocrite Julian Assange is and how he likes to poke his agenda into other issues and stir shit up to stroke his own ego. Julian could have easily supported anti-#GG and done the same thing. Then I gave them the benefit of doubt.

This is what happens when I give people the benefit of doubt. *sigh*

Smart move's to leave Wikileaks to its own. Whilst I can appreciate, on some level, the works they do, the simple fact of the matter is that GamerGate's doing just fine on its own. The smartest people involved in following this scandal know this.
 
It's cool Julian is publicly supporting us, but we got Milo for our own Wikileak-esque shit.

Also this is the first I'm hearing about this USU threat. Even without the threat, I doubt anyone would do anything. We're not that crazy down here.
 
The only mass shooting I can really remember here in Utah was the shopping mall a few years ago. That and never go to West Valley City.

Wouldn't surprise me if it was Anita or a cronie of Anita that made the threat so she could pull out. Honestly, it's fucking Utah, as much as I love the scenery the majority of women here fall into the category of "You exist to make babies and become a Goddess in the Celestial Kingdom with your husband who holds all of the tokens and passwords to get into heaven and you sure can't get there without him" and go to college to find said husband. The minority, I've found, are actually people like Literally Who and Ms. Plaid Shirt Hoopla Earrings so she'd be preaching to the choir of degenerates anyway.

Have I mentioned I'm saving money to move out of here.

ninja edit OK not EVERYONE fall into those two categories but it seems to happen to a lot of people either trying to fall in line to have a happy life or can't get over the rebellious phase, especially when the state's citizens reinforce that mindset to them that they are special snowflakes who need to dye their hair neon pink and get stupid tribal tattoos and now I'm rambling sorry
 
Sarkeesian is just looking for a way to retain her crown as Queen of the Victims. It's been a slow month for her what with Zoe still lingering in there and this new pretender Wu getting so much mainstream publicity.

Sarkeesian is a glutton for attention. She's like the person at the buffet that eats so much that they need to be rolled out of the restaurant.
