I think no matter how hard she tries to cover up her shit, lots of people have been documenting what she did. I suggest she get off the internet for a while and develop another persona that is in no way related toscrew that, just stay off the internet and work on making an ACTUAL GAME.

Found this on her EDF thread and I think this sums up things about her(or how to be like her) perfectly:

Jesus Christ the MySpace fat girl angle got me again

But there her head looks too small for her body. What is going on with this chick
the pornographic pictures are her from like a few years ago, plus the fact photographers might photoshop and stuff.
people can change drastically if they don't take care of their self image.

Someone compiled a timeline of the events from the beginning of the saga to yesterday.

I'm sad that the author left out the part about Zoe getting rent money from her hugbox after she was mugged (but never went to the police about it). Or that she started her own Game Jam and all donations are sent to her personal PayPal account.

I don't know if I'm retarded but fuck she looks different as shit in a lot of photos. Maybe she has weight fluctuation problems.

Before he died, my father took me aside and said, "Son, women who cover themselves in ink and hide their faces behind fashion glasses, gaudy piercings and a mop of dyed hair sometimes have issues." I have never forgotten that. RIP, pops.

You know, not to abuse an old phrase about how history repeats itself, but, well... history repeats itself.

Journalism today still isn't exactly free of nepotism and under the table connections, but it is considerably cleaner after its corruption came under scrutiny by the public. Now the same thing is happening with gaming journalism, and those involved still seem convinced that they can sweep this all under the rug.

Problem is, this has become FAR too large. This controversy and its implications are never going to go away, letting things go back to the status quo. By continuing to try and make that happen, those involved are just shooting themselves in the foot over and over. Honestly, it's almost sad.

Larian Studios?! I thought Divinity - Original Sin is right up the SJW alley because...
of the quest involving a gay relationship, an inter-racial one to boot. And the overarching plot uses the tired Disneyesque old trope that women are inherently good, and only commit evil deeds when they are betrayed by men.

Man...I've been away from the house with no internet conmnection. Just got back and decided to check out how this had progressed.

Really sad to see that basically all the "higher-ups" want to ignore this until it goes away. Many people are saying that this Zoe Quinn scandal doesn't matter, but... Let's see:

The first time I ever heard about Zoe Quinn was when all those gaming news sites published the whole "Zoe Quinn" is being harrassed by "evil, sexist gamers". I didn't even question the truth behind it. I imediately felt bad for her and thought reallyadly about all those "douchebag gamers" out there. I didn't really pursue it further, as somebody who's enjoyed playing video games since the early 1990's, I've encountered enough douchebaggery and sexist assholes to believe something like that.

Then it comes out that Miss Quinn is a pretty terrible person. Let's ignore the fact that she cheated on her boyfriend with more than one guy. She lied to bring attention and money to herself, she harrassed and destroyed other's campains/reputations, and abused censorship to suit her means. Her funraising campains are sketchy, and nobody knows where the funds are going to. She claims to be for women's rights, but I have yet to hear her say anything that I can go "Yeah!".

The double standard that's being applied here is amazing. It's the kind of stuff that fuels MRAs and mysoginists. Instead people seem to be ignoring her behaviour and just focusing on her gender, I keep finding articles like this one: http://www.thedailybeast.com/articl...-lives-zoe-quinn-virtual-rape-and-sexism.html . Let's be frank here, if this was a guy that was sleeping around with female journalists to get money and publicity, these same sites would be condeming him as just another example of how "sick the gaming industry is". Example:

Mr. Quinn cheated on his girlfriend with multiple female gaming-journalists, some which later gave his work very possitive reviews. One of the women involved was a judge in a competition in which Mr. Quinn was the winner.

It's genuinely upsetting to see people like Zoe be the face of "girls in the industry". I'm pretty sure there have to be tons of female gamedevs out there thata ren't scummy and are normal-well adjusted people. The gaming press just doesn't seem to want to write about them. All the people involved in "Zoegate" need to be judged for their behaviour, not their gender.

You bring up an interesting point. If this were a guy we wouldn't hear the fucking end of this from those supposed "journalists". No I'm not MRA but this is how their brain functions. I think this might actually be a good point to get across. Start a hashtag or something and change quotes from Ms. Quinn to Mr. Quinn and just let people see how bullshit it all is.

EDIT: Interesting...

I'm not sure what's sadder, these retards ganging up on him or "Wolf Wozniak" actually being intimidated by them.

More news from Kotaku concerning these events: http://kotaku.com/a-brief-note-about-the-continued-discussion-about-kotak-1627041269

Stephen Totilo said:
A brief note about the continued discussion about Kotaku's approach to reporting. We've long been wary of the potential undue influence of corporate gaming on games reporting, and we've taken many actions to guard against it. The last week has been, if nothing else, a good warning to all of us about the pitfalls of cliquishness in the indie dev scene and among the reporters who cover it. We've absorbed those lessons and assure you that, moving ahead, we'll err on the side of consistent transparency on that front, too.

We appreciate healthy skepticism from critics and have looked into—and discussed internally—concerns. We agree on the need to ensure that, on the occasion where there is a personal connection between a writer and a developer, it's mentioned. We've also agreed that funding any developers through services such as Patreon introduce needless potential conflicts of interest and are therefore nixing any such contributions by our writers. Some may disagree that Patreons are a conflict. That's a debate for journalism critics.

Ultimately, I believe you readers want the same thing my team, without exception, wants: a site that feels bullshit-free and independent, that tells you about what's cool and interesting about gaming in a fair way that you can trust. I look forward to focusing ever more sharply on that mission.

I wonder if they're lawyers made them write that? Also, she's still going to PAX. This whole situation is about to be kicked up a notch. Wow Zoe, you really are stupid. Just go away if you really want any chance of this dying down.

I doubt she wants it to die down. She's the center of all this drama, and she's probably reveling in it like a pig in its own excrement.

Same here. All that's reached me after the initial headlines has been "poor Zoe" and "stop harrassing Zoe" so without threads like this I'd likely be totally un/misinformed on the situation.

As someone who didn't really grow up with video games (and therefore, a filthy casual), my first thought as to how people are taking this was "Wait a minute, gaming journalism is a thing?" I mean, I know there's some quality writing on the subject out there, but it's never really struck me as something that was held to a similar standard as other media; it just seemed more like gamers palling around than anything. So to say the controversy is a blow to gaming journalism might ring true to some, but to me, it just seems like hyperbole.

I could be horribly wrong, though.
