I like Phelan's videos, but his stuff tend to go on forever (see The Time Machine I Bought At a Yard Sale / Birdemic 2 videos). Doesn't stop me from enjoying them though. I mostly just stick with RedLetterMedia now. Thankfully, only a few of them over at RLM play vidya and I'm not sure what I'd do if Rich Evans came out against GG.

More on-topic, there's something I wanted to discuss. H8chan was right in saying that today was going to be another barrage to rival Gamer is Dead. What I don't think any of us expected is how fucking badly this harassment narrative is starting to crumble, through a combination of the CWCki's tried-and-proven lolcow-milking methodology (observe, report, lulz), asshats like Biddle single-handedly costing their parent companies major sponsors, and most-recently, us exposing the brazilian fucker who was harassing the likes of the Sarkeesian threats. We got TFYC funded, we've gotten the false flags revealed - by people OTHER than Gamergate (thank you, based SJW Squirrel), and the biggest, loudest shriekers in the room will be forever marked by their actions. The internet never forgets.

Talking with my mom today, she said something profound: "Sounds like you guys are dealing with the same shit I dealt with when I was your age - only when I was your age, it was assholes threatening us about the dangers of rock and roll and hippies." And really, I'm inclined to agree: in many ways, GG is a continuation of what we faced back in the day growing up, when our hobby was labelled the great Satan by the likes of Jack "I was eventually disbarred by the Florida Bar for my faggotry" Thompson. I dunno about you all, but when Columbine happened, and the Media fanned witch-hunt after witch-hunt, I saw numerous friends of mine get expelled because they played video games like Doom. A game which Media fucktards at the time labelled "A GAME SO REALISTIC THAT THE MILITARY USES IT TO TRAIN THEIR TROOPS," a line that got my mom - someone who's about as much of a non-gamer as people get - responded with "Jaime, isn't that a game that you shoot demons with lasers in?" We both laughed that day, but the expulsions, for people I knew, were dead serious.

And yet it's a fight we're kind of still fighting, even now. Bullying from the likes of Biddle. The Media reacting like they have every time they have in the last 2 decades. They know exactly that we're punching a hole right through them, and revealing them as a self-centered group of entrenched elite with no interest at all in the people that they claim to represent. That's why they hate us and fear us. They are the enemy, and they fight us this hard because the second the common man realizes who fights for them, they're comprehensively fucked.

We're going to win this battle - exactly like we won the others.

My parents have said similar things about GG and SJWs, how they remind them of the DnD Satanism panic back in the 70s. You're right that this whole thing is just another incident of moral crusaders getting up in arms over nothing and how it will blow over in the future. What really separates this from other anti-game crusades is the presence of social media, some of the more hilarious bits of this whole incidents have been all the overreactions and threats on Twitter and other social media sites. What my parents wonder is why people would post such stupid things where everyone's going to see them and remember it forever. Its really through Twitter that anti-gg people expose themselves for who they are deep down while pro-gg people can get the message across, sort of a hoist by their own petard kind of thing.

Ooo, that's a problem on my end. I thought I captured his time stamp. That's actually from Yesterday, after all his tweets, but before todays round of apologies after getting reamed for losing them a sponsor.
 
So apparently Anita's next video is going to be called "Fighting Fuck Toys", in which she will be using Bayonetta as her main example as she considers to be "a quintestial example of a fighting fuck toy".

From my understanding, she has issues with actually producing the content that she is supposedly paid for so this could be coming out six months from now.

Nothing. I'm not doing anything. I'm not giving her views or any attention that's what she wants. The sooner people stop paying attention to her the sooner she goes away.
