That's not misogyny though, it's just fanservice. Delicious fanservice.

Bella, gotta disagree, I love tits as much as the next guy, and possibly more given my fondness for Gwynevere, but never will I argue that any set of jugs is worth destroying a solid character over. As I showed earlier, this was anything but fanservice. Fan disservice at best. To writ: Square-Enix took a beloved franchise character, completely tore out everything that made her appealing except her looks, exploited it for about 8 hours of gameplay, came up with a ridiculous contrivance to explain her being completely different from the other games so far, then, to truly drive home the dickery, killed off the actual character that was enjoyable, leaving the flighty broken wreck inside her body ensuring that if there ever is another game in the series (and most PE fans pray to shit it never happens), it will be with this personality-free piece of filth in the body of a beloved franchise character.

Again, Squeenix was way worse about it than Team Ninja was to Samus.

Anyway, more on topic: Do we know if there've been additional analyses done like the one MundaneMatt did with the threat letters towards Sarkeesian and Wu? I'd really love to see more of the well-known doxxings/threat attempts run through a similar writing-style-analysis rig and find out what the results are. I genuinely would not be surprised if the results were analogous to what was found with the Sarkeesian/Wu attacks.

Obviously it's Hotwheels' fault that she decided not to show up.

Just wait, sooner or later she'll "remember" that the reason she dropped out of it was because of the terrible, terrible threats she was receiving regarding what people would do to her if she went. This, of course, will "prove" how horrible it was that her opposition was even offered a chance to speak...

But how can she play the victim card again when it's already on the table?

It actually does shock me that she didn't do it because I believe she's aware that she is on the last of her fifteen minutes. I mean, there's even a fresh new victim of the Internet hate machine out there getting all the publicity, attention, and Patreon donations. I bet it does bother her that Wu is quickly becoming the new face of the anti-GG movement.

Well at least they have complaint forms... http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/p/huffpost-uk-contact-us.html That's the UK one not so sure what the US url is.

It had 2 uses

Giving GamerGate a fair hearing (again after the BBC radio show)

and making Brienna Wu look crazier than a bag of hamsters

But there was barely even lipservice to #gamergate itself. It was just more MISOGYNERDS attack poor delicate innocent sweet vulnerable wimmins who can't even figure out how forums work.

well in my mind, wu ended looking like a crazy-eyed hysterical moron, while Erik looked like a bastion of sanity, and Copypaste a bastion of coolness.

At least the second point was successful. I'm glad Fredrick got that last word in, because Wu kept interrupting everybody to argue their points - not just Erik or Fredrick, but the host too. Wtf.

Her logic is interesting. "People were discussing me on site X when I started getting threats, therefore the users of site X must be making them!"

And did you know she had a sock puppet on #GamerGate before she was "driven out of her home"? Yeah. She's classy.

This has done nothing but confirmed my suspicions that Copypaste is one of the most badass guys around.

At work so I couldn't watch. Anyone care to provide a synopsis?

Wu: "It's all about women getting harassed. And by women I mean me. And everything on Hatechan is illegal"
Copypaste: "8chan is not all about you"
Wu: [Darth Vader NOOOOOOOOOO}

I agree but we have somewhat more information than the average viewer and the reporter himself was leading the segment in a bias way. Also, writing sternly worded letters of complaint is an English pastime.

Just an example: The journo said that people were quick to accuse Quinn of lying or being a coward because of misogyny. No mention of her dubious financial arrangements etc.

Also, @copypaste won everything ever with that last line.
