Not sure if this warrants a thread of its own, but I'll just post this because of certain similarities with Gail.
TempleOS is an open source operating system. The
third thing people will notice about it is that it does have pretty cool and neat and innovative features and that implementing them has been a really Herculean task, props to the guy for the mad programming skills. The
second thing people will notice that the guy who wrote the OS no idea about modern-day usability and the OS looks weird to say the least. The
first thing they'll probably notice that the website looks pretty weird and that it's pretty obvious that God is telling him to write the dang thing. You know, God, as in voices in his head.
Yep, the guy who wrote the OS is a schizophrenic. And if there's one thing the interwebs hate, it's Christianity, and this guy just obviously isn't capable of reasoned debate on the topic, and none can be expected of him. Unlike Gail, he's not actually trolled all the time, because he tends to hang out in open source groups and people tend to be nice around there. But he creates drama. He has strong opinions, you see, on both religion and operating systems. (Of course, if you're a proper geek, there's no difference between the two anyway, so I'll just say that for emphasis.)
And I think that just like Gail, this guy needs serious help. Gail's problem is the fairy-tale fed by trolls. The TempleOS guy's problem is that schizophrenia might be making the social side of open source stuff a little bit difficult to handle. I don't think the trolls (in Gail's case) or the people who join the flame wars (in TempleOS's case) are doing productive things.
