You're right, that's kind of the point I was getting at, but I think I missed it in my post lol. He's basically clinging to anything viral that he can find because he wants to be viral again, and believes that if he hops on enough trends and pretends he loves the flavour of the month, eventually he's going to rake in the big bucks. There's been at least one time, easily a few more, where he's introduced something as "The viral X, I bought it on the Tiktok shop". Not "Wow I thought this looked super cool" or "Wow this might make my life better, lets check it out fellas!", but its most remarkable attribute to him is that its viral off Tiktok.

A smarter manchild would realise recapturing his earlier success isn't going to happen with his reputation, maybe move cities and try for a fresh start. But he wouldn't be a Lolcow if he learnt lessons like that.

I consider it at least a small blessing that he's too retarded to get a job and is just going to live off of welfare. He's not going to stop posting to the internet, so at least he can be watched/reported. If it was even 25 years ago he'd probably be the weird guy with a shitty job as a manual labourer that spends his free time trying to lure kids into the woods.

Edit: In a few videos he's said how getting popular online/getting Youtube play buttons has been a goal since he's a kid. To add onto the above point, he's not the brightest. From seeing this pattern in other cows, he basically thinks that as long as he keeps doing the viral things eventually he will fill up the "viral meter" and he will explode into overnight stardom. He just needs to keep doing viral things until it happens. With the lolcow traits and very likely autism, this means there will be milk for generations.

Just gotta keep him away from kids.

Good point because he even tried bragging that the clip of him tard raging over his pedophile child grooming discord server was hacked and deleted was and I roughly quote. "Hith thecond motht viral video tho far."

He strikes me as being very childlike -- and not in a good way like a childlike sense of innocence or wonder -- more like being mentally and emotionally stunted. Just listening to him talk about the things that get him excited and hearing the way he speaks, you'd think you were listening to a 10-year-old.

And I think that's why he's drawn to kids and teens -- mentally he's still at that stage. Not that it excuses his behavior at all. He is a grown-ass man, and it is his responsibility to act as such. Uncle Drew (may he rest in peace) tried to whip him into shape, but it was way too little and far too late.

I'm struggling to think of a happy ending here. Will he one day just grow up and act like an adult? I don't see what might trigger such a mindset shift in him. Maybe if he gets too fed up with the weens harassing him, he might break down and quit trying to be an internet celebrity and just get a normal menial job, but I fear even that is too optimistic an outcome.

The only chance of change is braving the harsh reality and struggles that the world will present him with.

I know the rule of being meta about powerleveling doesn't absolve powerleveling, but Nova reminds me a lot of my brother.

Even up to being a mid teenager he'd play with younger kids at the park. Not in an older rolemodel interacting with kids like a parent or teacher would, but in that he interacted like they were equals, not quite understanding that it was creepy nor that he was a lot stronger than them. I feel like if he wasn't minimally aware of how it looked to people, he'd still be doing it. He's also that kinda 'kid in an adults body' that Nova has, and I see a lot of similarities between them. Spending money he doesn't have on things he doesn't need, grossly overeating, focus on childish things in a childish manner, not understanding responsibilties, etc.

Tangent aside, Nova definitely strikes me as being similar. He interacts with kids because they're 'equal' in his eyes. It just comes with the side effect that they are very easy to manipulate to his own ends. As for why he keeps trying to contact minors in a sexual way, its anyones guess. Maybe an adult was too touchy as a kid, maybe its just an evolution of finding kids easy to talk into doing things they shouldn't. We're just lucky Nova is an obese manlet, so the children of Post Falls are safe (physically at least).

If the Uncle Drew texts are to be believed, it sounds like Nova's parents both coddled him into the thing we see now, and Drew made a solid effort to at least give him a chance. Not to state the obvious but Nova definitely has some degree of developmental disorder.

I can kinda see an ending where Mother Nova tosses him onto the streets, and after experiencing homelessness and zero protection from weenery, he decides it sucks so much that he gets a shit minimum wage job and sticks to it, just for the minimal safety of 4 walls. I don't see him ever willingly walking away from the internet, so godwilling bills will be so high he'll never have the free time to actually post anymore.

I don't see him actually willingly changing in any way, just that his environment will force him to.

A homeless arc could definitely be in the future for nova, but I think he would never bounce back from that. I think most of his attempts at holding a job are just to get his mom off his back, and/or stop the tik tok comments. If he were to be out on the streets, at the mercy of weens, he would likely use their "abuse" of him as an explanation as to why he can't get/keep a job. If he were to end up homeless, I think he'd end up like Tophiachu.
