Under normal circumstances, the bank would foreclose, boot him out, gut the house of all its crap, and auction it "as is" to recoup their costs and some of the remaining amount on the mortgage at a foreclosure auction. However, because of THE COVIDZ, if Barb/Chris have a loan from a federally backed provider like Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD/FHA, VA or USDA, then they are not allowed to be kicked out of a foreclosed property per the CDC-imposed moratorium, which expires at the end of Sept. of this year for mortgage holders (https://www.hud.gov/press/press_releases_media_advisories/HUD_No_21_118).
Under coof rules the bank will still go through with foreclosure. It will probably be nonjudicial. The trustee will identify the current owners of record and learn Bob is deceased. They will then try to learn who Robert Chandler of 14 Branchland Court is, and who is heirs are. They then have the job of identifying the heirs, and fortunately their particular deadbeat is the most documented person in history. The owners will be sent certified Notices of Sale, and the house will be sold at least 60 days later, and at least 75 days later if they have other liens. The house will be sold, and it will be on the buyer to get possession. If by that time Chris is serving time and Barb has been permanently institutionalized then I don't know if they would even need to evict. They may be able to treat it as abandoned.

If Chris' trial on September 16 is a prompt smackdown then the Tugboat will end after October 16. The mortgage will go into default and thar she blows.

If a local wants to stop by the Clerk of the Circuit Court at 22 Court Street Stanardsville, VA 22973, get a copy of the deed at book 126 page 207 and if possible any other document referenced by book and page in that document.

It’s not a great looking house even it’s prime, split level box bullshit. The longer it sits on the market, the more rundown it’ll get. Weens waited 2 days to find and vandalize his car, they’ll bust out every window of 14 blc. As somebody above said, it’ll sit vacant as the local “haunted house” for years till it finally is knocked down.
I hope they create a monument on the property for the prevention of elderly rape.

They could immortalize these words in stone. They could create a statue of Chris riding on Barb's back while holding tablets like Moses with the texts engraved on them. Chris could also be wearing pony horns.

Since Barb was Bob's spouse, unless he had a will designating otherwise, all of his assets immediately become Barb's. She is the "heir". Thinking about it, I am not sure what happens with this if she goes under state care.

The bank/lending institution can foreclose, but the moratorium prevents people from being kicked out of the foreclosed property, regardless if it is sold or not. If Chris is in jail and Barb is a ward of the state, the new owners could very well get possession. If Chris isn't in jail and is still there, they can't make him leave.

I agree, having copies of the records would be helpful to figure out what would actually happen.

I also wonder if people are buying foreclosed properties with others still living in them right now, given the unpredictable future of moratoriums at the moment.

I just want Chris to become a Ruckersville urban legend in 60 years. Kids say “Christine Weston Chandler” 3 times in the mirror to summon.. it.
Or maybe like Candy Man where instead of having a hook, he carries around rusty Fanta cans. Instead of a black coat, he wears MLP footsie pajamas. Instead of being in a forbidden relationship with a white slave owner, he's in love with his own mother.

Big fat black bloated houseflies and a whiff of decayed watermelon herald his presence..

Based on the tours of the house it should be destroyed. Animals shouldn't live there let alone humans. That also includes Chris but not by much.

Ok, since I'm not a student of Christory, what is the significance of this sign?
Back when Chris was a kid, Bob converted the shed at 14BC to be a place where he and Chris could spend time tinkering and building things together. It's a sad reminder of how much Bob loved his son and how much he hoped for and wanted him to become something. I think Bob knew Chris had the intelligence and ability to become an engineer like himself and did this to get him interested in the concepts at an early age.

Needless to say it didn't turn out that way.

The letters to Chris to be read upon his death were written a year or two before this as well.

I think we can come to a concensus that 14BC will go into foreclosure, but will someone (sane and not a ween) buy it? I haven’t seen anyone mention this, but I think this house would be considered a “stigmatized property.” I have a little knowledge of residential real estate and basically what this is, is a property where someone has died, crimes have occurred there, a celebrity/notorious person lived there, or it has been foreclosed (basically all of those have happened at 14BC). Each state has different laws detailing what a realtor has to disclose. In my state I know you don’t have to advertise the bad shit that happens but if a potential buyer asks you can’t lie or be evasive. If some house flipper decides to buy it with the hopes of getting it livable and selling they are going to have weens snooping around every day trying to photograph and do stupid shit, so if the realtor doesn’t disclose about Chris Chan and his history beforehand and someone buys it the realtor could be in a lot of trouble.
I honestly think it should be bulldozed like John Wayne Gacy’s house or the apartment building Dahmer lived in.

If I remember correctly, the shed was never used for that purpose and just became another place to shove the hoard. Depressing.

I'd need to check the CWCki but I think it was, even though Chris couldn't remember anything about what they worked on together. Not surprising given how fried his brain has been since 2014 or so.

The shed and Bob's greenhouse all became places for Barb to store her useless junk. 14BC's landscaping also went to hell once he died...he mentions his day lilies specifically in his letter to Chris.

Really, when you get down to it the best thing that could have happened to Chris was for Barb to die first.

Upon saying it, the children were disappointed in no appearance of the horrifying being. They yelled forth to the mirror, "Chris, why are you not coming out?" Suddenly a shrill voice filled the room, crying out to the children, "I'M WORKIN' ON IT!"

Make it into the world's first Soup Hotel.
Austin, TX already beat you guys to that ages ago. The city literally buys old hotels and makes it basically what Chris envisioned for the bums. Oddly enough our mayor kinda reminds me of Chris given how retarded both are but Adler actually has gotten laid and is legit wealthy. Still a retard like Chris.

Adler is today's Based Retard.

If Barb is put in a nursing home of some sort, which seems likely, the house (or whatever the bank doesn't already own) will end up sold to cover it as it's only a medicaid exempted asset if the person is going to go back to it.

At that some point I imagine some hapless real estate-related company or flipper will buy it at a steep discount in the kind of sale where you don't have time to do a lot of research. They'll then do their best to fumigate it enough to make it livable or just bulldoze it. In any case they'll eventually realize they need to weed out CWC-related inquiries if they want to actually sell the thing since no one who would try to buy it for Chris reasons can possibly have good credit.

I have to assume Chris isn't on the deed or anything.
