Exactly, but in terms of places Chris could possibly go if somehow he was prevented from going back to 14BC, none of the rest of his relatives want anything to do with him after they learned just what he'd done. Cole is the only one who hasn't said anything (because he isn't involved) and so Chris would probably try to turn to him...which would lead to Chris going to New York and oh boy that wouldn't end well.

To be fair, there are apartments on top of Carnegie Hall. I looked up to see if they were still occupied and the tenants were evicted in 2010. I think they were a bunch of elderly artists, many of them LGBTQ, so maybe Chris was somehow aware of this. I'm not familiar with New York but I knew there were artists living on top of Carnegie Hall and Cole is a movie critic so I thought maybe he did live there at one point.
