yeah, anecdotes don't indicate what most members of a group behave like

the issue in my eyes really isn't every individual furry, i have certainly met furfags who are relaxed, reasonable and even ones who don't like furry stuff in a sexual manner
the issue is the culture that the group is built on, you can be a part of it and not engage in that culture, but you can't take the culture out of it

and by "seen" i do mean online, but these were people who organized conventions making official statements, and not some Randy mcRandos who just say anything online to shitpost, so while that's still just a couple of assholes, they do have a bit more authority than the aforementioned complete nobodies

i remember him from his earlier days when he started out just doing things like playing team fortress 2 and occasionally streaming stuff, decently funny guy, nothing amazingly creative but enjoyable to watch fuck around

then he became... for lack of a better way to describe it- the human equivalent of a vtuber idol, except for teenage girls. nowadays he is basically turning his face, identity and personal branding into a human puppet of sorts to appease said audience.
you remember personalities like markiplier, or dan and phil back inna day? remember how those guys were treated by their audience of SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEing fangirls? imagine if they went all in on it, never said "cmon guys reel it back a little will ya?" instead they said 'yes, that's how i WANT to be treated, please, turn me into your little skrunkly wunkly quirk gremlin i love it!' and just bounced up and down like a monkey doing whatever their cult of 15 year old girlies wanted from them.

i frankly don't know if he actually loves being treated that way, or if he hangs out with more relaxed youtubers and secretly wishes he could undo it all and his audience could actually see him as an adult human man instead of some kinda fruity doodle noodle, but he can't, because that's all he has now

What? Jerma is a good streamer, far better than most. He's fun to watch, his streams are sfw, he doesn't really get into anything questionable or controversial imo.

Unless there's something I don't know about there's no reason for me not to like him. Really his audience having so many furries is because he engages with his furry viewers a lot despite not being one.
