Polling leading up to today seems to have been pretty accurate overall, which doesn't bode well for Le Pen in the second round. I'm very interested to see the demographic data and if her lead among the youth has changed at all, if it hasn't faltered i think she'll be the front runner 5 years from now.

Also, this first round showed that Calais expectedly hates the EU. Le Pen won nearly 40% of the vote and Melenchon came in a distant second with just over 20% with Macron third at about 15%.

edit: expectedly, fucking auto correct.

Yeah it's not looking that great for LePen now that most of the first round voting results are in. When you look at the figures, you can see it's a huge uphill battle for her if she wants to make any headway in the second round of voting.

Yeah, the place that is trying to outlaw 'gathering' and institute martial law because of muslim immigrants hating the EU is very unexpected.

but france, i thought you'd like the idea of a female president. does this mean anyone who votes for macron is a fucking sexist pig?

Nobody gives a shit about third wave feminism and all the crap lolcows wail about around here. Hell, some regions stopped funding gender studies because they see it as unfit to give people a job.

I wouldn't write LePen off just yet. A few more kebob attacks could put her over the edge.

How long before the french discover that Macron is actually Tony Blair in disguise ?

Although taking down the Eiffel Tower would be one Hell of a message.
"eiffel tower falls night before election. support for le pen skyrockets ten fold"
if that were to actually happen though, that'd be hell of an coincidence
Also what's up with Macron marrying his high school drama teacher
