Obeme endorsed Macron at the last minute, and the French left and centre still have warm feelings about 2008 Obeme, so maybe it will help Macron.

But just on a personal level, I find Macron weird and distasteful. He married his middle school drama teacher (24 yr older than him, and with 3 kids whose father she divorced to marry Macron) and he was the one pushing for her to divorce and marry him the whole time, so it was more like he had a weird thing for her rather than her being a predator. He attended all the best and most expensive schools in his youth and worked for the Rothschilde's investment bank before going into government and is the son of two neurosurgeons, yet he tries to paint himself as a man of humble origins from the working class. His presidential run is pretty much a backstab to Hollande, who was his mentor to the world of politics. He's always gotten his way in life so he really has no contingency plan for failure, and he acts like he's destined to win because of fate or something.

France will only be great when a member of the Ancien Regime sits on the throne.

Macron is full of air and has zero backbone as a politcian. Everybody running for office is a bit two-faced, but Macron takes the cake. He made complete 180s in less han 6 weeks on a lot of his measures and ideas, as long as it meant getting a few votes more. It's not just being unpredictable or taking in new data ; he will just shift towards whatever the person he speaks to want to hear.

Likewise, a lot of the "common" folk don't support him because his meetings and speeches feel empty. It's just buzzwords and speeches akin to a commercial.

Macron made his presidential campaign the same way a company makes a marketing campaign and rests only on his "youth" (he is the youngest candidate), charisma and good looks to ride the polls, but nothing behind it.

France will only be great when a member of the Ancien Regime sits on the throne.

ya i think he hired the same polling/marketing research analytic software that Obama used in 2008 and 2012, thinking that it will be the key to victory although the same data crunching approach did not work for Clinton

The best possible scenario for a Le Pen victory in the second round would be for Fillon to come in second, but i think it would be funnier (and not all that much worse for her) for Mélenchon to come in second.

This is assuming she makes it through the first round of course.

Sounds like a French Clinton

He is like a mix of Clinton and Obeme. You know how Clinton wouldn't shut up about how her grandfather was a factory worker in Scranton, Pennsylvania in order to connect with working class voters? Well, Macron won't shut up about how his grandmother was a village teacher and his great-grandmother was illiterate. Like nigga, you never even met your great grandmother! Meanwhile, Macron's parents (both neurosurgeons) have actually made statements to the press to the effect that they feel kind of insulted that Macron never mentions them in any way in his speeches and public addresses. As far as his carefully crafted public image is concerned, the only family he will admit to having are his grandmother and great grandmother, with their bonafide proletarian credentials.

The french SJWs have rallied behind Melenchon, and I hate SJWs. So as long as Melenchon is eliminated, I will be happy. What a pleasure it will be to watch all those faggots REEE and cry salty tears for the weeks to come ! I can't wait.

Nothing is saved even if Le Pen wins, the country will still be headed to muslim majority, and France will have one of two futures: either become an Islamic country or a fascist dictatorship.

Aren't the exit polls in Frogland dropping in 6 hours? And then around 8 hours and we'll get the round one results?

I'm honestly hoping for a Marine le Pen Victory Salt thread. She doesn't strike me as being as "far rihgt" as all these outlets are claiming her to be. And especially if her major opponent is a French versioon of Clinton that says we just have to deal with terrorism as part of daily life. Seriously, fuck that guy.

Hoping for Le Pen. Progressives need to keep losing their fucking minds because it is more hilarious than any conservative meltdown.

Also for the delicious irony that these people are being elected even though they are on the 'right side of history'.
