My money's on the Insoumis (Mélenchon's party) and the right getting the lion's share of the deputies. This will be fun.

I don't know if Insoumis will get too much, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_presidential_election,_2017 I think it all depends on immigration and terror attacks. If they continue under Macaroni's rule, then you'll probably see Le Penn's party, centrists and center right gain more while the leftist and socialists that are pro-immigrant and pro-Islam continue to lose support.

Edit: Another thing to consider is whether or not Macron is as bi-partisan as he claims to be. This was a mistake Obama (one of his supporters) and Democrats in the U.S. made, they ran on "bringing people together" and then when they got in office they all got extremely smug and proceeded to ignore roughly half of the country for eight years which lead to a build up and festering of resentment against the powers that be.

Nobody is too openly pro-Islam here save for the most hardcore religious guys. Most Muslims get angry when politicians or companies play the Islam card to rake in votes/customers. And Macron IS the "centrist" party right now.

Le Pen and the traditional right will be the big winners methinks.

A big chunk of Melencuck's voters is made of bratty teenagers with no grasp of how the political system works, contrary to what they like to believe. I don't think he can count on them.

It's Macaroni's party that interests me. Since it's essentially a coalition of faggots with no opinion that sided with him by default, I wonder if he'll get the same score than he did for the presidential elections.

My bet is that the far-right and traditional right are going to cuck him, and Melenchon will weep.

Quelle surprise.

From the little reading I've been doing regarding the French election, it seems that a lot of people including the left-wing are suggesting a Macron win now will inevitably lead to a Le Pen victory next time around. This is mainly due to Macron essentially being more of the same neoliberal politics that everyone is so disillusioned with at the moment.

So my (uneducated) guess is that Macron's government is going to have to be much more right-wing than he made out it would be during his campaign.

No sympathy for frogs next time they die under a truck of peace. They chose it.

They're going to know real racism, sexism and homophobia in the next decades. Enjoy it frogs.

Macron won but that was the easy part. He should savor his victory as much as he can, because he's going to find himself with a Parliament divided between four parties, all unwilling to compromise. My bet is that he'll go down the same way Hollande did : unable to pass any law save for a few negligible ones.

Note that the president can issue decrees and thus bypass the Parliament, but I expect Macaroni's popularity to evaporate if he ever tries.

On a side note, the French now have their very own Tony Blair ! Because it worked so well in the UK !

well, she tried. oh well, have fun dealing with almost daily rampant terrorism france
