US Congress just passed HR 1865, "FOSTA", seeking to subject websites to criminal and civil liability when third parties (users) misuse online personals unlawfully.

Any tool or service can be misused. We can't take such risk without jeopardizing all our other services, so we are regretfully taking craigslist personals offline. Hopefully we can bring them back some day.

All of them. No, seriously. It's why Craiglist shut down its' personals board. Under the new law, if it's found out that sex traffickers used any website or online service to facilitate their crimes, the owners of that website or online service are liable, even if they had absolutely no idea that was happening on their website or service. OKCupid, Match.com, PlentyOfFish, maybe even Tinder... they're all probably lawyering up right now to try to figure out some way to defend themselves.
