How will @KatsuKitty ever find people to date now.

US Congress just passed HR 1865, "FOSTA", seeking to subject websites to criminal and civil liability when third parties (users) misuse online personals unlawfully.

Any tool or service can be misused. We can't take such risk without jeopardizing all our other services, so we are regretfully taking craigslist personals offline. Hopefully we can bring them back some day.

To the millions of spouses, partners, and couples who met through craigslist, we wish you every happiness!

My knowledge isn't as great as I'd like but this seems like kind of a big deal. Obviously a lot of prostitution ads are on Craigslist, but how is it the website's responsibility to police it when the ads aren't explicit about it? Wouldn't they be governed by the same rules that say someone like @Null isn't responsible for what people post on the farms? Or is it different because advertising law comes into play?

Coming soon: websites are responsible for anything uploaded to their platforms. i.e. The death of the internet.

At least my city has it still with a bunch of gold being produced.

I have the seed.

Will move in and be around to make coffee, watch Netflix, eat carrots.

And fuck. Lots of fucking the both of you. Or three, four or five of you, because more than one daughter is fine.

You should have lots of money but we can do this povo style too.

Hopefully this guy found someone:

Due to that very hands-off approach, Craigslist has gotten a reputation as a hangout for illicit sex and weirdos with creepy fetishes, and I think that Craigslist realized it was easier to just torpedo the whole thing than try and rehabilitate that image through new TOS and "friendly content only" policing because that went over soooooooo well on YouTube. They've always had a reputation as a ghetto eBay, like, that one subway franchise in the bad neighborhood.

They offer the same sandwich as everyone else, except going there means likely being robbed in the parking lot if you don't sprint to your car so only the poor/desperate use it.

And management have finally decided to close up that particular location for being more trouble than it's worth even though it's not their fault the customers keep getting robbed.

There's always backpage.com "dating." Sexy, sexy "dating."

TBH, I've forgotten Craigslist was a thing.

Won't somebody please consider all the Cherokian hookers who are now out of a job?
Man, it's been a rough couple of weeks for Chris, first TRU is shuttering its stores, now Chris won't be able to find any more lady friends on Craigslist. If this continues to go on, he's probably gonna be spending his days trying to pick up meth heads while hanging around the cheap toy aisle inside of Food Lion.
