I like it, plenty of colour on the grid this year.

Decent livery. A little bland, I wish there were more prominent sponsor branding on the car. But the color itself is quite nice. Williams as a privately-owned constructor is dead anyway.
TBF they wouldn't be in the mess they are now if they didn't cock up a workable concept of their own for an substantially inferior version of the Merc.

Many, many years ago, like late 1990s/early 2000s I played F1 Pick 6 (http://www.f1pick6.com/) and a similar Indy one with a few internet contacts for 3 or 4 years. It was pretty straight forward and enjoyable. I probably still have the old text files I used to keep track of our "league" somewhere on the HDs.

I played the F1.com game two years ago with my son-in-law and a couple of his buddies, but I didn't find it as enjoyable as the old Pick 6 one. Too many ways to gain or lose points.

But I am down for playing the F1 Fantasy if a few of you others want to do it!

By tepid public demand I have created a fantasy F1 league on the official fantasy F1. All (kiwis) are welcome. The name you sign up with is visible to others in the league so usual online privacy advice applies. League code is:

This private information is unavailable to guests due to policies enforced by third-parties.

I currently have it set for 2 teams per player, otherwise the league would probable end up looking a little empty.

Aww ickle Lewlew didn't get his own way:

Good, let's hope he psychs himself out. He's never been the strongest at keeping focussed on the racing.

Does anyone here watch any D1? It can certainly be entertaining. And we complain about F1 tyres wearing too quickly...

Really looking forward to seeing the full grid. The liveries so far ranged from okay to pretty good, it'll be fun seeing them all together for the first time.
Seems like all cars will look different enough to distinguish them even when they go through a corner in a tight pack.

Interesting interview with Seb. One part (incidently at exactly 4:20) that stands out regarding Mercedes and their dominance.
Man, after all these Ferrari-years, it's weird seeing Seb in all green overalls.

And another video about Ferrari's 2021 car:
If it wasn't for Sainz and Leclerc, I'd love to watch this team piledrive even harder into bedrock. Ferrari is a joke that chews through good drivers and spits them out in the most dickish ways. It's just a matter of time until it happens to Sainz and Leclerc and the only question is: "When?".

I know, the livery isn't any indication of the engineering behind the car, but if the giant neon-green Win Now logo is anything to go by, this car is about as challenged as the previous one.
In best Ferrari fashion, they make a car with a loose rear when they have a driver that favors a stable rear, then they get rid of that driver and spend all their tokens on making the rear more stable. I guess Leclerc can drive it either way, so does Sainz, but it's like Ferrari is always one step behind and they never truly speak with their drivers on what they actually need and rather just decide what's good and their driver has to adapt come hell or high water.
It'll be interesting to see if their new engine/gearbox will be worth a damn. If they didn't manage to fix last year's issue, shit is going to get whack... and I simply can't see Ferrari pouring much resources into this year's engine when they need to get one done that'll be up to snuff come 2022 for a couple years. This engine, at best, will be some in-between step of that developement, so for all we know, it might be a lackluster engine that is prone to failure.
Then again, maybe they did get their shit fixed and the team is up to challenging at least RB on equal footing.

The green tobacco sponsorship on ferrari is a joke. I love tobacco advertising, it lead to some of the most iconic liveries of the 90s and 00s but damn this one is ugly. On that note, I heard somewhere that Ferrari's current partnership with Marlboro (Philip Morris / Marlboro) is going to be over at the end of 2021 so i wonder if they will reach a new deal?

Unless Marlboro somehow becomes insolvent, I don't see them not make a bid yet again. Though, who'd outbid them?

I am going to see if I can find a stream in the morning and catch at least the PM testing. If I find one I will post it here. I tried to see if Overtakefans were streaming it but was at the office today so all the firewalls and shit wasn't letting me do it.

I *almost* signed up for F1TVPro today. It apparently is available in Canada now and I saw a 25% off deal, so I assume it will cost about 50 or 60 for the year. I hate paying for anything of a media nature, but I might just bite the bullet, its not expensive and saves the hassle with trying to get a good pirate stream for the races.

Does anyone here have a sub to it, and if so, what do they think?

As for testing, mega laps put on the Honda engine, that is a good sign! Merc, it would be a fucking miracle (and great to see) if they don't get 1-2 in Bahrain. They can't stay perfect forever, the downfall will come, let's just hope it starts this year! LOL Alpine apparently have a huge-ass engine intake, looks like a mid 70s car!

I'm in the same boat, saw the 25% off and seriously considered it but like you it feels like paying (again since I already pay for sky) for limited/unknown gain.
