Isn't this one of the things the cost cap was meant to stop? I don't know what is hastening the demise of F1 more quickly, bought seats or boring AF Tilke tracks.

Bought seats have always been in F1 and it's unlikely that a cost-cap will affect it because it's still a hundred million dollar operation that requires every penny to be used. What would kill F1 is the overall predictability of results, there being very few ways for a casual fan to follow the sport live and above all else, economic shifts making this far too unreasonable for the non-tobacco/alcohol/oil/energy drink companies of the world to fund.Isn't this one of the things the cost cap was meant to stop? He'll hire somebody to manage it so it won't affect his performance one bit. The only thing that can undo him is personal drama. You guys think Lewis will be able to keep his performance up while managing that extreme e team?
Yeah. It'll be interesting to see if LeClerc can get up to 4th position on the grid again or if it was a one off, it'll be interesting how Gasly and Albon do, the fights for midfield positions often hinge on very small margins, where even just a .1s improvement will make you move up a couple places at a time. The sport is so much more than just watching Mercs run circles around their competition, while pretending their dominance is anything but uncontested.Just been watching practice. Commentators saying shit like: "qualifying could be anyone's" and "we don't know what's going to happen in qualifying", I can hazard a guess. Stop with the pretence that the top 3 is somehow a competitive game, we are not retards. I get that it has become a boring drugery for the front in both qualifying and the race and that you guys have to try and sell the sport but trying to pretend it isn't a foregone conclusion (barring any strange events) is just disingenuous. Concentrate on the McLaren/Racing Point/Renault battle, there is interest and a sense of not knowing what will happen there at least, plus usually some overtaking and strategy that effects the race too.
Gravel pits, a thin strip of slippery astroturf or maybe some sort of plastic cone... anything, but something as arbitrary as "go past this line and you get a punishment".They need to come up with something different to do with these track limits. These constant deletions and the penalties last race just feel off. Someone sets a time then you wait until the end of the session to see if it ends up counting, it takes the excitement out of the last few minutes as they cross the line. I say gravel traps or some other sort of high friction area to force them to stay on the track or lose time because everything else is just messing with the timing screen/race.
What performance? he is set as no1 by the only team with a good car... he was never that good of a driver, just lucky with going to the right team. You guys think Lewis will be able to keep his performance up while managing that extreme e team?
