Still trying to figure out what happened. He said something snapped, I just saw the rear swing out and fling him into the wall. This guy must want to neck himself by now.Another Lewis disasterclass for FP3.
Verstappen on pole, followed by Norris in 2nd and Piastri in 3rd
Maximum excitement for tomorrow
There are plenty Ferrari drivers who never got a podium with Ferrari. But he would be a champion 8well former champion) to never earn a podium with Ferrari. his last races were pure dread. It's as if he has no motivation to do any more. If that is even remotely true he doesn't deserve to be callerd a great driver. Just look at Alonso: older then Hamilton but drags performance out of cars that is not there. THAT is a great driver. Plkus he has some of the most hilarious radio commentsthen he might be the first driver to not get a podium at Ferrari.
One can make the argument that the main reason he got so many championships was because he was the number 1 driver of a team that had a decisive technical lead from 2014 to 2019. Team didn't have drama, they got the correct engine configuration down with the split turbo design and could design the car around the engine while customers had to wait until they got a chance to see what it was. There are plenty Ferrari drivers who never got a podium with Ferrari. I disagree with the idea that prime Max wouldn't be considered one of the all-time greats regardless of era he was dropped at. He is as complete as a driver can get and in the 2000's would be right in the thick of it with Fernando, Kimi, Michael, and Juan Pablo. While I won't say he's a completely hopeless driver without a dominant car, let's not pretend almost his whole career has had at the very worst race winning potential cars. He honestly is on par with Sebastian Vettel for me, a good driver that was very lucky to have championship cars. Those who say he's on par with Michael Schumacher are delusional given I truly think even prime Max would struggle against prime Schumacher.
