Ferrari doesn’t need another WDC or constructor’s championship. They’re Ferrari. They’ve done it all. They might suck in F1, but they’re doing well elsewhere. Ferrari has been making moves into becoming a lifestyle brand, and what better ambassador to bolster that image other than Lewis Hamilton? He prints money wherever he goes.

Carlos to Williams is probably one of the best moves of his entire career. He can safely say that he’s dragged a tractor into the podium multiple times and his stock will increase for it. Lewis, in the other hand, doesn’t suffer any repercussions for his poor performance this season and can always fall back on the fact that he is a 7 time champion, and both he and his teammate agree that the car sucks.

Carlos had a rocky start at Ferrari early on and a rocky start with Williams. But he's got to be one of the most experienced driver at the moment he's driven a lot of the different cars on the grid in the hybrid era and has to be one of the most well rounded drivers to different car styles (besides obviously Max in anything). His run in McLaren was amazing (looking back he has Alonso like career choices)

Lewis was really fast in the McLaren but that was early in his F1 career the rest in a Mercedes built around him so a switch in the Ferrari really showed his driving style requires a certain car and if its not exactly to his liking he's mid tier.

It was arguably one of the best moves Williams has made in a decade.

Sainz has consistently improved every team he has been apart of. Williams is 5th in the constructor series. That is something I never fucking expected. And it's 45 points to the next team.

And while yes, Albon has more points, consistently in Sainz' career, he has somehow made both drivers better on every team he has been on.

He is like a an engineer, lead strategist, and driver in one. He is a throw back to the early days of the sport when the driver was owner, lead designer, and head mechanic.

It blows my mind that they effectively got him off the scrap heap.

I fully admit, I'm a Sainz fanboy. Two fucking podiums with a Williams is unreal.

If Max wins this championship I'm never even going to entertain someone saying he's not an all time great ever again.

If Piastri wins it then he did is despite his team.

If Norris wins it, well Villeneuve and Hill both won it, sometimes a meh driver gets it.

Max is 12 behind so if he wins and Norris is off the podium Max wins it. If Antonelli hadn't fucked up then even a Norris 3rd to a Max win would have Max winning it. So yeah that screw up has taken a lot of the excitement out of Abu Dhabi.

I don't know what the fuck McLaren were thinking not stopping. "More flexibility" is retarded on a track where following closely or overtaking are near impossible. Always go for track position on those. It feels like they sacrificed Piastri's win to avoid disadvantaging Norris. Either way unless Norris bins it early in Abu Dhabi no way Piastri wins the championship he is 100% going to be used as Norris' wing man.

They thought track position was more important than a 20-second pit since the race was at around 7 laps at the time. What they didn’t anticipate was Verstappen coming in right away, which caught them off guard.

Been saying the same here. He already is an all-timer just from this comeback, but if he seals it next week then any naysayers left should not be allowed an opinion on the sport ever again.

"more flexibility" was the funniest cope ive ever heard, i think they immediately realized how badly they fucked up, ps3 and norris certainly did. the pit wall were just trying to sell them this bullshit to maintain morale

It's win-win for Williams and Carlos. The former gained an outstanding talent both on and off the track, the latter now has the freedom to control his own destiny. I was almost going to say "bring out his best", but Carlos' best is yet to come imo.

Max is already GOAT material in my eyes. Sure, Scuderia Papaya gave away a few free kicks, but Max not only made the most of these, he did so in what is effectively a ride-on lawnmower.

I bet dollars to donuts if Max was piloting a Haas or Sauber, he'd still be a regular visitor to the podium.

I honestly wonder if team orders are coming out for McLaren to cover Lando given his title is in serious jeopardy as 12 points isn't in the realm of improbability.
Even Blind Freddy can see McLaren has thrown Pastry under the bus to try and save Nando.

Man, Piastri must be mega bummed. His team fucked him hard this time. He is now too far to challenge for the title, unless both Max and lando swift crash out next Sunday.

Unfortunately I still see Norris champion next weekend, but everyone will remember Max's insane title comeback. McLaren should have wrapped both titles races ago but they keep messing up.

Unless max fucks up and/or has rotten luck, the driver's 1/2 is already gone, it's a real possibility that Papaya outfit might have the bungle of the decades on their hand. Granted it would go well with their 2007 bungle so let's will this son of a bitch into existence.

Yeah Piastri is out of it now. Unless Norris ends up starting from the back or DNFs in the first 5 laps no way he's going to get the opportunity to fight from the team. He is 100% going to be playing wing man and getting team ordered out of the way.

I pray for Allah to deliver Lando Norris into the wall in Abu Dhabi next week. Brother Bin Russel and Brother Talibantonelli have sharpened their swords and are ready to chop papaya head. Inshallah. Max Verstappen is great, championships be upon him.

As long as there is a possibility, I strongly believe Pastry is going to fight for it.

What I wouldn’t give to be a fly on the wall in those McLaren team meetings. The ongoing power struggle and the drama within must be scintillating. You’ve got Oscar who is clearly the better driver on the team who is working his ass off while the more marketable but lesser driver Lando is receiving the push. Oscar has woken up to the fact that he is the superior driver, unfortunately no one at his team really gives a fuck. Lando is more marketable and is joined to Brown by the hip. Piastri, like Max, just wants a fast car to get in and do his job.

I would love for him to go into business for himself just as Sainz had done during his last few stints at Ferrari. Fuck the team orders. Pick up the race W for yourself if you have opportunity to do so, championship be damned.

I fell asleep trying to watch this race three times today. Ended up looking for the results. Gutted for Piastri, Norris can't handle it, and Max deserves the win despite Piastri being thrown under the bus again. I really hope Piastri learns after this that he doesn't have support to win and he needs a team that will give that to him. Criminal. Pleased for Carlos as well, and as for Hamilton I think we all understand he is not adaptable and requires a team to work around him.

easily digestible version for anyone wondering how the last race can play out:

extremely generous take. hamilton is washed and should suck every dick he can see to get into an indy car for next season. i'd even take bearman in his seat given the ballwashing the commentators will give ollie - anytthing will be better than watching lewis.

Where would Oscar be better suited so he can do well without sabotage?
Aston Martin as a replacement for Alonso or Ferrari as a replacement for either LeClerc or Hamilton.

Regardless of almost anything, Piastri will be at McLaren for 2026, but for 2027, seats should open up at Aston Martin and Ferrari, especially Ferrari if LeClerc leaves and Hamilton is forced into retirement because he is so old and useless now.
