If Oscar doesn't win the driver's championship I cannot wait for the spicy Mark Webber interviews/podcasts, lol
"multi 21, Lando..."
shit lads, "the championship situation has developed not necessarily to Oscar's advantage",

Rumour has it Leclerc has signed a "pre-contract" with Aston for when the Ferrari is a shambles again.
This came up in my feed late yesterday and I got to wondering how feasible this is.

Why would any constructor wait until the season is off the ground before serious changes to literally everything including uniforms, helmets, the car itself, strategy and marketing? That shit is hugely expensive.

Plus, no time in car for tune-ups and mods before the season starts.

Not to mention, who gets ousted? The owner's kid or the beloved veteran? Stroll, sure. But is Aston going to ditch the strategy they started the season with for a guy who's entitled enough to step in and overthrow it all? Particularly up against one of the more fiery personalities on the grid?

Or...Fernando gets retired. Maybe he wants that. But even if he puts on a smile and goes on with life, it would still be perceived and an injustice to not keep a driver that people care about in favor of nepotism and a guy who is only now looking out for himself. Unless Leclerc wants a villain arc really badly ("And then I remembered I'm going to have a wife and kids at home.") Which I'd begrudgingly respect if he had the balls for it, and I don't think he does.

Still all seems like fantasy but interesting to think about.

Christian Horner and Christian Slater are doppelgangers.

I'm up early for the sprint because why not. Do you guys like them? I think they're cool, but I understand teams/drivers not really caring about it that much.

I'd say the #1 biggest complaint I have with sprints is the effect it has on the race weekend structure, in terms of getting rid of practice sessions. It means that rookie drivers have fewer opportunities to actually learn, not to mention fewer opportunities for teams to bring in developing talent for such sessions.

Major warning around the tyres not even making 25 laps after sprint qualifying. Apparently those inspected afterwards were wrecked and close to structural failure. Currently possible they'll require a stop in the sprint.

I love the sky cope about Max wont get norris because he wasn't happy woth his set up.

Why do we have a sprint here? It is such an awful venue for overtaking, without strategy as in the main race it is so boring.

Oh great. We get a repeat of 2023 (I think it was that year) where every team had to do mandatory pitstops after I think 20 or so laps. Just fuck of with Quatar and put Turkey or Argentina in the calendar again

Also Hamilton on suicide watch "Why is our car worse then before?" OOOFFFFFF

Right Fred it's clearly time to take the expensive negro out back and put on in the back of the head. Keeping him is just sunk cost and needless suffering for everyone.

Can Sky stop pretending him going out is a huge shock. He's absolutely collapsed towards the end of the season.

Yeah. After a the last races I thought Hamilton had the hang of it but fuck me he is really falling at the moment. 3 times out of Q1 in a row (well Sprint Q1) while Leclerc at least gets the Ferrari somehow in the top 10. If he is really this unmotivated then kick him out because imho drivers like this are not worth keeping. Even Schumacher during the "darkest" Ferrari year (2005) drove like his heart depended on it

Took a look at the Lewis Hamilton subreddit to see how the true beleivers are coping. It's about 50/50 between saying he needs to retire before he destroys his legacy and people putting 100% of the blame on his race engineer (with zero understanding of what a race engineer does).

I really want Antonelli to get that 6th in the drivers and Ferrari to end up 4th in the constructors. That will wreck lewlew even more.
