The more I seethe about it, the more I start feeling like someone had some pesos down on the podium results or some shady shit. This is as bad as the 2021 Abu Dabi safety car in how absolutely bungled it was.
With the NBA gambling fiasco now happening (NEVER betting on player props again), I would not be at all surprised if that was found out. Although racing bit harder to fix than regular sports, situations like that does present an opportunity.

It's not the first time a VSC has been used in a seemingly dodgy way.

Last year's Brazil sprint race Max was about to get the McLarens when a VSC was thrown. It lasted far longer than necessary and was only ended on the last lap after the McLarens and Max had passed the last realistic overtake place.

Similar to them either seemingly waiting to throw a red or throwing it immediately in various qualifying sessions depending on where various drivers are on their laps.

Hamilton seems to be having a gypsy curse on him. Lost places in Singapore, lost almost one place in Austin and now managed to screw himself by not following track instructions that all drivers were shown beforehand. Yes that part is dusty and tight but it was also a massive advantage und unlike his teammate in lapm 1 he didn't give it up. All Ferrari podiums so far (save for the chinese sprint) come from Leclerc. This does not look good for a 7 time champion. Also, antonelli is just 13 points away from beating Hamilton's record for the most point a rookie scored in one season (yeah I know more races and more points but nobody cares about that)

This is Hamilton's stats for podiums. Always got at least five. This year he has zero so far and only four races to go. Toto got his money's worth from whoever he paid to gypsy curse Hamilton.

Oh look just as I said but the commentators are too incompetent to realise it was Hamilton they were investigating for causing the collision not Max and it was factually Max's corner.

The failure to follow the race director's instruction was fine because he was going too fast, which is odd because the idea of those is to slow the car so it re-enters safely.

Also the penalty for cutting the corner was failing to lose the place to Max not just "oh he was 2 seconds further away and should have let them catch up" like the aforementioned retards they let commentate this sport for some reason.

Here is the FIA reason excuse for the VSC:

FIA explains Virtual Safety Car call which thwarted Verstappen’s attack on Leclerc

Posted on 26th October 2025, 23:38 | Written by Keith Collantine

The FIA has explained why it deployed the Virtual Safety Car which thwarted Max Verstappen’s attempt to take second place at the end of the Mexican Grand Prix.

Verstappen was poised to attack Charles Leclerc for second place when the race was neutralised over parts of the penultimate and final laps. The VSC was deployed after Carlos Sainz Jnr’s Williams came to a stop in the stadium section at the end of the lap.

Little footage of the incident was shown on the world feed during the race. The FIA said in a statement the VSC was used due to concerns of a potential fire on the Williams.

“On lap 70, Sainz spun and stopped in the run-off area on the outside of turn 14,” said the FIA in a statement. “His car came to a halt in an exposed position.

“The car subsequently began smoking and race control received notifications of fire, making it clear that marshal intervention would be required for recovery.

“As is standard procedure when marshals are deployed to recover a car, the race is neutralised, in this case, a Virtual Safety Car (VSC) was triggered until the car was moved to a safe location behind the barriers. The VSC ended as soon as the car was in a protected position, and the race concluded under green flag conditions.”

STOP THE STEAL!

Now that Landog is ahead by 1 point, step 1 of the plan to crown Fat Brown's favorite son as kang of the world is complete.
  • Step 2 - watch poo poo yuh roolz get rescinded to sacrifice Pastry to the Corn. "He's currently in the lead and Max is rapidly catching up. We might have to make some difficult decisions."
  • Step 3 - ????
  • Step 4 - unusually long safety car at the end of Adoodoo Dhabi to give Nowins his crown
But none of this is gonna happen. He'll find some way to bottle this. Our head Pastry chef is gonna win this boiiis.

Another thought just popped in my head. Without taking time to check, I am pretty sure the season ends with a triple header does it not? Not much break between races to chill out and destress. If Max can finish ahead of both next race with Piastri ahead of Norris, Max should be within 25 points or so of the lead. Brazil is a track Max has shown his godlike ability. If we get rain (just a little, not enough for FIA to cry "muh safety" and start the race under SC), that race will be one to watch.

And a Max win, Norris DNF and Piastri only getting a handful of points next race will be perfect to setup a major battle over the final GPs. Plus it will not allow Lando to get the preferential treatment as I fear those fuckers at McL who want him to be WDC will implement as soon as they can now that he has the lead.

Maybe we will get another 2010 type final, albeit with 1 less driver having a shot at the title. I remember that race and how long Petrov held Alonso back. And Vettel coming from nowhere to lead (and win) the championship at the last race. Good times, hope this year ends something like that.

The VSC at the end was so retarded especially when Lawson nearly Tom Pryce'd two marshalls at the beginning of the race. It did make Verstappen and Pastry lose 3 and 2 points respectively.

Norris was unbelievably fast all weekend, but I still hope for the other two to be champion.

Surely Norris WDC must be prohibited under the Geneva conventions? We need rain in Brazil.

Yup, it does. Las Vegas, Quatar and Abu Dhabi within 3 weeks. An interesting choice of tracks and I am not sure who might be good where. Verstappen is within 40 Points of both Mclaren Drivers (34 to Pastri, 35 to Norris). If they bottle just one race and Verstappen wins it will be hot. It's already amazing how Verstappen bit of 70 Points of the beforementioned 100 Point gap (he might probably curse about Barcelona by now). If he manages to win this he can equalize Schumacher's "5 titles in a row" record.

Man the mouth breathers are seething about Max not getting about 3 different penalties despite the FIA documents clearly setting out why. They just keep on with "muh advantage" despite him being clearly ahead of Russell before even getting to the corner and "muh divebomb" despite there being a gap, Max getting his car alonside before the apex and keeping it on track.

It's like they want the most neutered boring sport on earth. Oh yeah let's start punishing moves that are entirely under control but from a bit further back.

It’s crazy, isn’t it? And the Hamilton fangirls keep crying about his 10-second time penalty but don’t even know why he got it. I keep seeing people say that he got it for not following the escape road when the actual reason was the fact that he jumped up two places after he went off and didn’t give the places back, whereas Verstappen did not get ahead in either case he went off the road.

So many people whinging Max could never have made the corner in that attempted overtake. Except he did make the corner, he wasn't obliged to leave lewlew any space because it was his corner by the rules. Lots going "but he had to hit lewis to do it", a wheel bang with zero damage to either car is not going to slow a car that is going off enough for it to stay on.

Also Max's soft tyre stint was insane consistency

Like those things went so far while others were doing 2nd stops.
