More allegations are forthcoming, the woman will be named and a 19 page story about it all, coming very soon to a newsstand near you! I am gonna assume the woman on the cover is the one who he fucked around with. Be kind of weird to put a different female on the cover, don't you think?

Though it should be said Business F1 is the ultimate nonsense tabloid in F1.

Honestly, this season looks to be far more exciting off the track than on the track.
I really, really hope not. Can't I just enjoy a sport without the media having to turn it into nonsport related drama constantly?

Yeah I have been seeing that. It also only has a 5,000 circulation. So, hopefully we will get the article. I did read that it was leaked over the weekend, but I couldn't find it. Not sure if they were confusing the texts leak with the article.

Either way, when it hits and assuming it gets into public, the firestorm will be huge. Apparently Horner met with Max's agent today in Dubai. So, let's see if Horner shows up at the race this weekend or not.

These "Max going to Mercedes in 2025" stories are absolute garbage to fill a news void.

Clearly Max will be at Redbull in 2025, the earliest I could see him leaving is for the 2027 season if Redbull fuck up their own engine in 2026(which I think is actually more likely than not).

Considering Newey has spoken about a regret of not going to Ferrari, if Redbull's engine is a dud in 2026, perhaps Newey and Max go as a package together to Ferrari, to replace Lewis Hamilton, for the 2027 season.

The only way Max will leave RBR is because he's off to race in another series with Red Bull. He's indicated he wants to race the Le Mans 24 quite a few times and I could see him and Newey taking that (or even a full WEC season) as a new challenge.

Max has always been clear that once he's accomplished what he wants in F1 he'll be off to other series. Plus as noted he's autistic for motorsport, not just single seat formula racing so I could definitely see him doing something else, perhaps even trying for the triple crown.

Sinilar to hambone to Ferrari, Max to Mercedes makes no sense for Mercedes either.

They have brought Russell through the junior series to be the replacement for hambone when he finally went and they have two fast junior drivers waiting for a shot at F1.

Them bringing Max in risks losing Antonelli and Vesti to other teams who will be able to offer them a drive on the grid and risks losing them Russell who they have shown they will never let be the number 1 driver.

Hell Toto even said he wouldn't give lewlew long term contracts because he didn't want to lose his junior drivers by closing off the F1 seat for multiple years. So he clearly thinks about that.

I still stand by them probably trying to grab Albon from Williams and insert one of their juniors into that seat. Then they put someone with Russell who is more an equal than a clear number 1, and they keep hold of a junior by finding them a seat on the grid to get them ready for when one of their drivers leaves.

Also new allegations against FIA president

Though Sainz's PU might agree with that assessment.

What is it with scandle after scandle in F1 at high pace currently? We're getting like 10 years worth of normal sporting fuckery in one here. Is this a Bernie and Balestre/Max hangover, except those guys were actually good at it or is there some underlying reason for the current mess like the good olde FOM/FIA war reigniting?

I mean, he would've been right if true. It was an entertaining shitshow, but a shitshow none the less.

Seems like a series of power moves are being done all at the same time, maybe so that people don't focus too much on each one. Horner is surely just as much of a jackass as Toto and many others in the sport, but it feels to me like Jos is heads and shoulders above everyone else in the absolute dirtbag game. It might be the only way to destabilize RBR and give other teams a chance, but it feels scummy whenever I hear about shit like this, it annoys me.

Agree, and same with the Alonso penalty that was also nonsense. I suppose its all going to come down to what is the role/remit of the FIA president and how was his influence exercised.

If both are within the remit of his office then I can't see he's done anything wrong no matter how he exerted his position.

If both are outside of his direct remit but he was just voicing an opinion I still can't see a problem with it. He's the president so having a say even if it's not his decision is fine.

The problem comes if it's outside his remit and he outright demanded these things (though vegas get certified so clearly he didn't have unchecked power). Then we're into the abuse of power problem and it needs to be sorted (probably with a resignation).

The fact vegas was organised by FOM and the FIA tried this, that Andretti was ok'd by the FIA but FOM said no, and that FOM hired Susi then FIA investigated them for conflict of interest all suggest a power struggle between the two. That's 3 of the last 4 big talking points that have essentially been FOM vs FIA.

The truce between the two only really held because Bernie made sure it was always someone he could control that made it to FIA president, now that's not the case we may be heading back to the old F1 politics of teams vs FIA vs FOM.

More on the RB20 from Newey:
“No, not at all,” Newey responded on the F1 Nation podcast when asked if the RB20 was a ‘step into the unknown’ compared to its predecessor.

“I mean, the underlying architecture of the car is the third generation evolution of what started as RB18.

“Where we carry everything, apart from the radiators, they’ve changed, but apart from that, the layout of the front suspension, the rear suspension, the gearbox, casing, et cetera, it’s a third evolution of RB18.

“The bits that are visible, and they’ve obviously caused quite a lot of attention, obviously, we’re pursuing aerodynamic gains there, but the visual change is actually much, much larger than the performance change you get from that and there are other much more subtle bits, that people haven’t noticed, that are probably responsible for a bigger gain.”
“That’s what we’ve tried to achieve, is a car that is reasonably well suited to all circuits,” he said.

“I think, typically, last year are the circuits that we had less of an advantage on were the maximum downforce street tracks.

“Singapore, obviously, we made famously made a bit of a mess of, underperformed to what we could have achieved – I think we could have certainly achieved podiums there had we got our act together a bit better.

“But it certainly is true to say that those circuits are the ones that we probably have less advantage on, but as long as we’re not disastrous on them, then maybe that’s good enough.”

List of average, smallest, and larges winning margins for different motorsports in 2023. Really puts Max's dominance into perspective (though this was originally being used as a bitch moan about how boring F1 is, which can't be measured simply by winning margin).

Up until now, I've forgotten that NASCAR Canada and EuroNASCAR are still relevant

The usual suspects were on Twitter whining about soggy knees and retaliation, but there are 2 options here:

1. The leak is legit, and she was disciplined for making confidential information public.
2. The leak is fake, and she knowingly defamed Horner.

I'm leaning toward #2. I've seen so many sexual misconduct accusations used as a power play to get someone removed that I call BS.

Imagine the salt when Jos Verstappen gets banned from the paddock for not keeping his mouth shut. I'll pay money to see that.

That's because they're not. No one in those countries actually cares about the Nascar Wherever Series, despite Nascar and Reddit's attempts to convince you otherwise.

I didn't even know there was a NASCAR Canada, and I'm Canadian! LOL Seriously, I knew about the Europe one cause Villeneuve won a race couple years ago but had no idea they had a series here.

Took a shot at Alonso for pole at +850. Hopefully they don't mess with the car to steer it more towards race pace setup. Its so tough to go against Max I have to say.

Also will Alpine actually get at least 1 car out of Q1? FP1 was pretty close spread again, only 1.3 covering the 20 drivers and just 1.15 covering the 10 teams. If that continues and a team can develop a bit or unlock something special it could make for a nice leap in the WCC given how close they all are.
