Looks like merc have gone too small on the cooling ducts. Will give them extra aero performance but both are having power unit issues now.
 
Incredible that Mercedes has seemingly fucked up the car again. Might be the power unit in general since they just said Albon had issues, but McLaren doesn’t so who knows. Nice that the DRS rule change did nothing to lower the gap to Max.

I think they underestimated their cooling needs. More cooling means more drag so they always try to use as little as possible, looks like merc went a bit too closed.

With Albon having similar issues it may be the Mercedes PU runs a bit hotter than everyone was expecting, which if so will mean running power units turned down a little or using more cooling, both of which hurt performance.
 
Brilliant drive from the swarth. McLaren seems to have fallen off from last year. Alpine only finishing above a near minute long stop and Sargeant is dogshit. Ok race for Haas considering the start. Zhou was very solid.
