No checo or lewlew today, they both drive tomorrow.

143 laps for Max is impressive. Practically no reliability issues, only Williams looking delicate. Hass looking shithouse as expected.

No new news, it's been going a while, its just a baity site trying to get in on preseason testing news clicks.

I haven't heard anything really spoken about it and even the team principals when specificallt alsed about it during interviews said standard "big if true but its being investigated and we should wait for the result of that before commenting".

How long until we get protests about Red Bull's extra intakes? Even if they're fine there'll be whinging because no one else thought of it.
Well it looks like Mercedes may be the initial target of pointing out wrongdoing and cheating:

Russell was only 12th or so today. While still extremely early, be nice if this, and the potential need to change the front wing if deemed against rules is a sign that the Merc is going to falter even more and maybe Alpine/AM can give them a good run for 4th best this year.

Well hambone has managed to bring out the first red flag of testing and damage his and Leclerc's floors (let's hope no spares because lol). To be fair it's a track failure but still funny hambone was the one that caused it to finally fail.

Oof 1.5 hours of testing lost to the teams, plus damage to cars where there may not be same spec spares avaliable to test.

The merc looks absolutely horrible to handle. But then little lewlew can't complain because they made a big thing about how they listened to him for the design changes after he bitched all last season about them not doing what he told them to do.

Red Bull reliability issue for Checo.

I read that the Mercedes actually looks very handy on track though no one can say if they actually have the speed. And apparently Ferrari is over 1 second behind Red Bulls long turn pace though others like Mclaren and Aston Martin have similar speed. What is to be considered: Ferrari hasn't powered up their engine so far. Makes me wonder if they have some top speed left. and if will it ruin their tyre conservation they seem to have achieved

I didn't have F1 taking advice from Indianapolis on building a road course on my bingo card today. It does suck for everyone else who had to park their cars, and it really sucks for Chuck LeSneed. I'm not even surprised he got caught up in this mess.

However, Hambone getting screwed makes it all worth it.

Additionally, people have bitched so much about Sauber's blatantly mercenary new team name that they finally relented and brought the Sauber name back.

So far it has a ton of turn in understeer to wash out oversteer and onboards show them having to throw a load of opposite lock on acceleration out of a corner.

KMag using a hammer to adjust something on the car himself.

The changing sponsors on the mclaren is really distracting while on board.

Jalopnik (which is a joke in many ways) is already calling Max 2024 WDC over the testing results. lulz.

It's currently looking like Ferrari vs Red Bull with Red Bull having a minor advantage on long runs.

Merc, McLaren and Aston look to be fighting for the mid points and occasional podium, which McLaren seem to have the advantage over the other two.

RB seem to have made a massive leap forward so might be leading the back group. Alpine, Williams, Sauber seem to be fighting over the scraps with them.

And lol Haas.

That's my predictions from testing, everyone bookmark it so you can tell me how shit I am come qualifying.

Thanks for setting this up this year man. Unless others join tho its gonna be me and you for the glory! LOL

I decided to retire Mr. Shitlips name for my teams since can't do better than last year finishing 1st, 2nd & 3rd.

So, I am going with a tribute to a great Canadian racer no longer with us. 2024 in fact marks not only the 50th anniversary of his birth, but sadly also the 25th anniversary of his death on track on October 31, 1999 at Fontana. Greg Moore for those that are unaware of who I am referring to.

Funniest part is Alpine made the ugliest car on the grid and it looks like it'll be slow as fuck. Might as well slap some paint on it and give it a pretty nose. I wonder at what point Renault just pulls the plug entirely and sells what's left of the team, since they might make 600mil out of it (They sold 24% for 200 million last year). At this point it's not exactly good marketing for the Alpine brand.

The Red Bull looks good. The fact they made so many changes and managed to dial it in in a couple of hours on day 1 is a pretty good sign. Checo still half a second slower than Max but what else is new. If the Ferrari is kinder on its tyres as it seems it might be, Newey will be vindicated in the more radical redesign. Ferrari already were quicker in quali and seemed to have a better top speed, so if they can race better for longer they'd be a real challenge to the old RB19.

Lots of positivity about Merc but it looks pretty unstable to me. More so considering neither driver was pumping out high performance times. I always find it so silly when they compare to last year's testing, like the season didn't happen. Merc were second in the constructors last year, if they're still scrapping with their customer teams it's still embarrassing. Hard to say though because they're the drama queens who invented sandbagging.

New drinking game: drink everytime they play "overtake avaliable" as a radio call just as the driver goes for the overtake in DTS. You won't survive a single episode.

I do love the ultimate troll job of Red Bull going for the Merc concept that they gave up as unworkable and never going to be able to be made fast.
