Horner allegedly sexually harassed a female staff member at RBR. Depending on the source, this could be anything from putting his hand on her shoulder to sending her dick pics.
Well they've moved on to an independent investigation where he's accused of "controlling and coercive behaviour".

I haven't seen any formal recognition that it's anything sexual so it leads me to believe some journo heard he was being investigated after a HR complaint and instantly jumped to it being a sexual thing, then the others followed because modern journalists.

Either way the whole thing most definitely feels like a set up.

The red bull looks very much like a red bull. That's it for livery launches now.

There seems to be a good amount of actual colour returning to the grid, though still too much bare carbon.

The good folk at The Race, think that RedBull may have designed another killer

What should be something to consider: most of the teams have mostly introduced a car with the actual livery and not all actual parts. Williams and Mclaren might be the most extreme cases. Next weekend in Bahrain will be interesting to see the "real" cars. Heck just imagine Red Bull showing a car without the "Merc" parts and yell "suprise motherfuckers"

Everyone is playing catchup and RBR is still 3 steps ahead. Crazy what having an actual PU does when designing the car
Speaking of PU, Renault managed to choke their engine and never being close to the gap since '14 . Even Honda catched up with years of delay after they left Mclaren and their genius " make a chassis and jam an engine that fit " tactic

Just read that Red Bull is planning to copy the "Zero Pod'" concept from Mercedes and introduce it with the Suzuka-Update (Suzuka this year is quite early). So now Newey is trying to troll everyone? I hope it works we have seen how Mercedes couldn't get it to work properly in 2022

But all the teams have Power Unit's and Bill appeared to be suggesting that RedBull had some unique advantage.
I am assuming he meant RB has its own PU, but then of course so do the other manufacturer teams! LOL He will have to clarify, but I am fairly sure PU means Power Unit.

If that's the case, then I'm renewing hope that the original tub pods from Ferrari would work. Those were a thing of beauty.

Something a bit different.

Masterchef's Amaury Guichon recreates F1 car out of chocolate

58 kilograms of dark chocolate has been transformed into a surprisingly accurate facsimile of a Formula One race car.

Amaury Guichon has created a red F1 race car completely out of chocolate just in time for the start of the 2024 Formula One season.

Known for his wild chocolate creations and his role on Masterchef: Dessert Masters, Mr Guichon took to social media to show off the Formula One race car which took seven days and 58kg of dark chocolate to complete.

In the video, Mr Guichon shows how he made the car from scratch, moulding it with melted dark chocolate.

He uses melted chocolate to connect the large pieces together, forming the race car’s shape. By sanding down the edges of the pieces he can create curves and form detailed parts like the air intakes and nose.

To create the front spoiler, Mr Guichon first outlines the design on tracing paper before setting the chocolate into the mould.

After adding details like the seat belt and driver handles he then begins painting the race car with red, black and white paint – likely food-grade colouring.

After adding the final details like the steering wheel and silver accents, Mr Guichon then begins on the tyres.

The tyres are created using a very large circular pot and a circular plastic mould. After combining the two pieces, he sands them down and adds a layer of chocolate to make sure the tyres are flat and smooth.

Black paint is applied to the tyres before he creates their aero covers, finished in grey and silver paint, which is followed by a yellow stripe being applied to the tyres.

While it’s not a life-size version of a Formula One car, it still looks fairly realistic.

Pre-season testing for the 2024 Formula One World Championship is due to run from February 21 to 23, taking place at the Sakhir Circuit in Bahrain.

The 2024 Australian Grand Prix will take place between March 22 to 24, with local heroes Oscar Piastri and Daniel Ricciardo set to compete in front of their home crowd for the first time.

While Ricciardo was sidelined for the 2023 edition – having lost his race seat at McLaren at the end of 2022 – Piastri scored his first Formula One points at his home race, finishing eighth.

So testing is underway in Bahrain. Nothing that interesting so far, Leclerc had a wobble that I didn't see and Occon just went wide and into the gravel, no damage on either. Verstappen is on hards and sliding lol.

Can't edit above post, only thing interesting so far is albon pulled off and yellow flag is out. No damage or anything, 20 minutes left.
Mercedes cars are porpoising pretty bad too.

That Williams is pretty dead.

How long until we get protests about Red Bull's extra intakes? Even if they're fine there'll be whinging because no one else thought of it.

Times for the morning session (not that testing times really mean anything)

It seems that Haas is punting this season for having a better car next year.

Truly , they copy everything from Ferrari down to the next year will be our year lol

You now remember Steiner Masterclass of cutting his team pit wall in half being his only upgrade that worked at Haas.

What are those weird silver cage-looking things on the back of the Ferrari right behind the rear tires?

Ah the "it'll totally work next time" strategy. Do Haas actually have any engineers or is it just one person constantly trying to design the next year's car while Gene shouts over a speaker phone where his podiums are?

Aero rakes, its an array of pressure sensors measuring the air flow off the back of the car.

It means they can check agreement between their models, wind tunnel, and reality. There'll be some variation but obviously they hope that is very minor, if they get large differences then they have a big problem (you'll often hear about "correlation", that's the level of agreement between the three).
