I've found a replacement for Hamilton at Mercedes: Chris Lulham, Verstappen's simracing teammate:

Unlike Lewis, Chris is able to hold the inside line at Copse:

His car control and situational awareness is clearly superior to the seven time World Champion, as renowned commentator firedell1031 notes:

Max's comments about this battle:

Chris also has very similar pace to Max:

Full Stream:
The full races are worth watching (first race starts at 42:30, second at 1:56:40).
There's more action in these two simraces than in an entire F1 season.

TL;DR:
lulHAM > HAM

Horner is apparently under internal investigation at Red Bull. There is speculation that he behaved "inappropriately" towards a female member of the team and that he has been advised to resign.

I am neutral on Horner as a personality though I think that he has been good for the sport.

What I am fed up to the back teeth with are trials by media that cause a tremendous amount of reputational damage even when claims are proven to be false. Horner may be guilty or he may be innocent. At this stage he is regarded as guilty by default.

Futhermore, I have seen similar accusations, in other industries, being used to unseat a individual from a position of power, in order to open up that position. In such situations, companies, when searching for a replacement, will often prioritize optics over ability.

Anyway, I have a feeling Horner might go - pushed to the point where he has no option other than to jump.

Horner has been played as the bad guy in F1 for as long as RBR has been challenging queen lulu. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if this was a stitch up, in fact I'd be more surprised if it wasn't.

Imagine all the whining on the radio as Ferrari shits up for the 5th week in a row.
If you thought the Sky focus on Hambone was already obnoxious, wait until the camera focuses on him running 10th every race while his whiny, faggy "THE CAH IS LI'ERALLY UNDROIVABLE" radio plays multiple times a minute.
I like the new sauber livery. For a start it's not white, grey, and black. Decent bright colours, looks almost 80s style neon.

I wish the bare carbon fiber liveries would get banned. I'm sick of the whole field being Mostly Black cars.

In the meantime, Swiss regulators have filed a suit against Sauber (A)

Ad hoc translation because the source is German said:
Because of the new main sponsor: Proceedings against Sauber have been opened

The Swiss F1 racing team Sauber is entering the season with a new title sponsor. Stake happens to be an operator of online casinos that is banned in Switzerland. As SRF knows, the Federal Casino Commission has opened proceedings against Sauber.

[...]
Sauber team boss Alunni Bravi is convinced that there is much to gain from the partnership with Stake: "Stake is one of the world's leading entertainment brands. The company will help us reach new audiences and expand our fan base."

In certain countries, the sponsor logo must be covered

In addition to a lot of money and new fans, the new main sponsor also causes a lot of problems. The reason: There are restrictions in gambling advertising in several countries hosting F1 races. Bravi says: "We will adhere to all applicable laws like we did last year. And if Stake is banned, we will have an alternative team name. Depending on the country, we work with Stake or Kick, a different sponsor."
In everyday racing, this means: In certain countries, all Stake logos on the cars, team members' clothes, trucks and [sic] must be covered or replaced, likely with the "Kick" logo. In these countries, the racing team from Hinwil won't be competing under the team name "Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber", but under a different name.

With Stake, Sauber is probably violating the advertising ban

The new main sponsor is causing problems for Sauber in Switzerland as well, because the gaming provider Stake does not have a license in this country and is therefore illegal. Accordingly, it has an advertising ban. Nevertheless, the Stake logo is omnipresent on the website of the Swiss racing team Sauber, its social media presence, and on the clothes of its employees.

For legal expert Patrick Krauskopf it is therefore clear: Sauber seems to violate the advertising ban: "Sponsoring would be allowed. In this case, the brands Stake and Sauber are linked together to such an extent, i.e. term Stake is so strongly imprinted in the minds of the viewers, that we probably have a case of having crossed the red line into unauthorized advertising", says Krauskopf who works as a professor of competition law at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences.

Casino Commission opens proceedings against Sauber

The Federal Casino Commission has also become active. It has opened proceedings against Sauber, as it confirmed to SRF. There is a risk of a fine of up to 500,000 francs [i.e. 533k€ or $573k]. At Sauber, people react calmly: "We always comply with all applicable laws, including in Switzerland. And of course we took all measures to comply with them", says Bravi. For Sauber, the new F1 season looks to be a battle on and off the racetrack.

Haas: hey look we painted our car like the Russian flag to get around the ban on the Russian flag in international sport.
Regulators: meh looks fine to us.

Sauber: we got an online casino company to sponsor us.
Regualtors: deploy the lawyers.

And let's not mention tobacco bans and their new tobacco farm tool decended driver.

Yes, I know different regulations and regulators but still.

The Alpine looks OK. I agree with there being too much bare carbon but their BWT sponsorship at least forces some colour.

Williams have got quote a bit of carbon on there too, but at least there is some colour.
