At least the cold is kinda interesting in a way I suppose. Hard to judge how every car will do in such a different circumstance. I wonder if Ferrari will do well, too. They have the best straight line speed and they usually melt the tyres.

No, because the "spectacle" will be a bunch of nobodies attention whoring, some tacky "were the tackiest place on earth" shit, brundle interviewing said nobodies, and then someone going "oh yeah, I forgot there's a race today". We all know neither the sport nor the race is the point of this.
As for temperatures, not many teams will have ducts designed for that cold meaning it's going to be hell balancing the performance of everything.
Plus tyre pressures will be a mess, they'll need to be sensible at running temperature but that means if they cool too much the pressures will probably drop to the point of risking the car's floor dragging or even the tyre coming off the rim with F1 level forces.
Oh and Sky F1 are going in on "muh women set this up", will be hilarious if it's a farce. Also no matger how many times you repeat it, it's not some super hype event everyone has been waiting all season for.
Also looking at the hype photos notice where the put exit is, no way that can go horribly wrong.

Would it not be hilarious, after the ride height issue saw some DQs and the moaning that prob all teams were afoul of ride height, that they decide to check every car after the race and they ALL fail and thus no results/points at all! LOL
I assume they feel since its a hairpin it will be slow enough and without any passing that they can blend in safely, but yes, on the face of it that exit looks troublesome.
You are spot on of course about it being the US Monaco GP with all the glitz, glamour and ahole elites that will be getting more coverage than the race.

I love how much Max fucking hates everything about Vegas and isn't afraid to make it clear. I feel like at least the Ferraris might be pretty strong and it's not exactly a high skill track anyway, but if this were Suzuka I think he'd ram the field by 40+ seconds just to tell everyone to fuck off.

Pace wise maybe but it's a tight street circuit meaning strategy is key and a fast car can't make up for a pants shittingly retarded one, so that's ferrari fucked.

Yeah you're not wrong, and let's face it Max usually does extra well in tricky circumstances, but I personally feel like Carlos at 20/1 odds is a decent punt for a cheeky bet.
If the Ferraris are good, I feel like this track may suit Carlos more or at least not give Charles much to work with to make a difference. Charles will typically have a harder time generating heat in the tyres too, Spain being a good example this year. Unless he's been studying what Max has been doing in such places and fixed his issues.
Carlos usually gets the better end of the strategy stick, too, partially because he makes up his own and is more forceful with the circus troupe on the pit wall.

I use 8 books right now and best I could get him was +1800 so took that. Also took Lando, Oscar (+3300), Charles and even the nigger to win on other books. Lando was +900 which was the "worst" odds after Max who is -225 or so. Now watch, if Max doesn't win, it will be Checo or Russell who pulls off the victory.
Also seeing some drivers say they are pleasantly surprised about the track (don't know how if they haven't driven it yet!) so not sure if that should give us any optimism or they have just been ordered to talk it up. At least Max calls it for what it is. Nice to have WDC who isn't afraid to speak the truth. Long may he reign!!
The race is 2AM my time and I won't be staying up to watch it. I will grab a torrent when I wake up Sunday of just the race so I can avoid all the BS that will be leading up to it. Will be interesting to see how many "stars" hang around for the race and get shown on TV during the race. Lets see how much time is wasted showing fans/celebs/other garbage while race is happening. About the only neat thing that I want to see is how they use the sphere to show timings and stuff. They might be able to make use of that thing for some informative or interesting displays.
Also, I assume you guys gave up on our fantasy league? LOL I switched out Fred/AM for Lando/McL probably 7 or 8 races ago I think and the current league standings seem to have confirmed that was the right move. The 2 of you who are chasing my 3 teams still have Fred/AM so its no wonder why I am pulling away and may sweep the podium for the league final results. Only 2 races to go...
