I'm looking forward to it for the wrong reasons. After all, the event is where I'm at. People are predicting Verstappen as he's more of the crowd favorite, but does "crowd favorite" necessarily mean he will win? Not really.

I'm hoping for the most "celebrity" Vegas style cringefest followed by a paint drying style GP that means even FOM and the biggest DTS riddled "we need more races for murica" simp can't possibly defend and get them off the "increase murica at the cost of the rest of the sport" bandwagon.
So a Baku 2016 bis ? I want a Vegas to be a sprint race next year + double points. Might as well go all out on the cringe

I'm thinking a Sochi level race (doesn't matter which, that track sucks), an indianapolis 2005 level farce, and a 2021 Austin style "celebrity" cringe all on one.
It needs to be so bad that sky will actually amit it was bad and that it takes Vegas, Miami and any planned murica races with it for at least 5 years (except COTA, they can keep their 1 race at an actual track, thats actually about the racing).

I recall a couple weeks ago some were mooting that Vegas would be the final race of the year as the wacko shit going on over in the land of the sand niggers and jews might disrupt the Abu Dhabi GP. I know money talks and it is likely to go ahead, but if stuff flares up a bit its possible it could get yeeted.

I don't know why they bother with race results. Just do the 25-odd races and convene at the end to decide who won what.

I mean it makes sense. After the race it turned out there were multiple cars went over track limits at turn 6. The FIA investigated and said "welp the camera was badly placed so we don't know" and left it at that.
If Haas now has enough evidence to have it reviewed then it should be for fairness, people get penalties for it everywhere else for it, turn 6 is definitely a place you csn gain time, and a 5 second for Albon would swing 2 points (and potentially a lot of WCC money) Haas' way so they'd be silly not to try.

Maybe I'm preaching to the choir, but the solution as I see it is to actually PUNISH the drivers for going off-track or attacking the corners too aggressively. Drivers might be more cautious if attacking the corner risked damaging their suspension on a grass verge or gravel-trap.
I just don't remember stewards changing results around after the race being that common 15-20 years ago. It's unsatisfying and turns the sport into a joke where a race is never truly "finished." Even after the chequered flag has fallen, the cars have been inspected after the race and everyone has gone home.

It's a common thing now in sports, look at football with video refereeing and all the other variants. It used to be that if you had a bad decision people would tell you to suck it up, this is why there are long seasons in sport, so the luck evens out.
The problem is, when you indulge people reeing, they just ree harder next time. Like giving a crying kid a toy. So you end up in an endless cycle of discussing rules and interpretations, people are impossible to please because usually sport isn't black and white to begin with.
Not so much blaming Haas, more so the culture that is created by having pussies in charge that don't get the power to just make decisions for better or worse.
Like how taking a knee was considered a sin in football when it first started in 1987, but nearly 30 years later it became so common that football teams just do this just to chase clout on racism and police brutality among other stupid shit

Alonso wouldn't be able to step foot in Mexico if he does. Plus, they wouldn't want to be reminded about their past again, lol.
I wonder however who would take the step of making it get cancelled, either if Hamas does Le Terror or some Mossad plant considering also how the UAE gave funding to Palestinian (around 20$ Million) UN Program, and most importantly how These 2 groups consider manipulating the GP to their favour or if They are even thinking about doing so.
Looks Awesome! Imagine if any F1 team did a collab with Power Rangers, like imagine watching our Champion Super Max Emilian Verstappen fight in his RedBull Megazord against a Gargantuan Hambone bug, I would love it!

If true and this plays out, will be interesting as I expect it will be one of the coldest races ever ran, behind probably the Montreal race Villeneuve won in 1978! That day the temps were 5C or 41F. See pic at end of the podium, will we see similar in Vegas? LOL

Ross Brawn has admitted there was one thing they didn’t consider when designing the track for the Las Vegas Grand Prix which takes place next weekend.
Brawn was speaking on TalkSPORT yesterday about one of the most anticipated new events in Formula 1 history.
There’s been a huge amount of talk about F1 returning to Nevada for the first time since 1982.
Back then, Formula 1 raced four times in the Caesars Palace Grand Prix, although only the first two races counted towards the official championship.
Australian Alan Jones and Italian Michele Alboreto were the two winners back then and soon another driver will add their name to that illustrious list.
The track is going to be unlike anything Formula 1 have raced on for some time and there’s already plenty of excitement and trepidation amongst the drivers.
There’s one key reason for that and that’s the temperature of the circuit at the time of the race.
Ross Brawn has admitted this wasn’t something that they took into consideration when designing the circuit in Las Vegas.
To add to the pageantry in the desert, the race will take place on Saturday night local time.
It means a very early start for those watching in the UK but the spectacle makes it worth setting your alarm clock for.
Speaking about the potential low temperatures, Brawn said: “The one thing we hadn’t considered initially but the tyre company have dealt with is it gets very, very cold at night.
“So, when the race is happening which is Saturday night, it has been known to drop down to three or four degrees.
“So, it can be really quite cold and of course getting the cars to work in those temperatures can be a challenge.
“The tyre companies have done some work to make sure the tyres can cope with that.
“We’re definitely facing some new challenges which we’ve never had before, but I think it’ll be spectacular.”
Formula 1 teams have to face serious challenges every weekend and this will be no different.
There’s nothing worth knowing in F1 that Brawn doesn’t know and although the freezing temperatures in Las Vegas will be difficult to deal with, he’s confident that it won’t be an issue.
Tyres lose the most temperature down long straights and the 1.9km straight could cause some issues.
The best way to heat them up again is by pushing them through high-speed corners, which this track doesn’t feature many of.
It will be fascinating to see who comes out on top and the likes of McLaren and Mercedes might see this uncertainly as a chance to get one over a dominant Red Bull team.
